We have stayed here before, so thought it would be good to stay here again. The accommodation was nice, clean and quiet. We were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded when we checked in. However, when we asked for our daughters bed to be made up we were told that we would have to pay a further $80 for her rollaway. This was despite us booking for 2 adults and 1 child...fortunately I had my booking receipt which clearly stated the price and for how many people. They told us that even though you b... Read more

Stayed at Rydges world square for the night as we were seeing the show Georgy Girl. Rooms a bit small but very clean. Bed is so comfy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice bar for drinks and eats. Didn't have breakfast here went outside and found a cafe and had a pleasant breakfast for half the price. If driving in there are car parks close for cheaper than the hotel rate which was valet parking $60 for 24 hours but it was convenient. Would defantly stay here again.

Hotel is located right in world square. Very convenient for food and supplies in the evening. There are many restaurants around the area, mainly Asian food, and a Coles in the basement. Nothing to shout about the room, but it is clean and well maintain.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. Fantastic position, clean modern quiet rooms, attentive friendly staff that don't intrude at all on your stay. The only reason I didn't give 5/5 is that it probably is a 4 star hotel facility wise but I would rate it as being as good as a 4 star hotel can be. Didn't eat at the hotel because of nearby cafes and restaurants. It is an easy walk to Museum Station, Central Station, Pitt St Mall, Hyde Park, Chinatown and Darling Harbour. I have stayed here 3... Stayed in this hotel for seven days and six nights. It is very centrally located, with countless dining options in the surrounding area (Chinatown and World Square). It is a 5-10 minute walk to Hyde Park, a 10-15 minute walk to the Pitt Street Mall and Sydney Tower and a 15-20 minute walk to Darling Harbour. There is also a Cole's Supermarket at the basement level, that allowed us to stock up on supplies and food (we did not eat at the hotel's restaurant/s). The employees in this hotel are frien... This is the first time we have stayed at the World Square but are very keen to return soon. The hotel is well positioned in Sydney so you can walk anywhere, very close to Central Station, Darling Harbour etc. Very nice breakfast too. Free wifi. Thanks Rydges World Square!

Besides that there's nothing we could complain of. The location can't be better than this. Just a few minutes walk from main shopping hub as well as sightseeing places. Well connected. Spacious room. Excellent breakfast spread and helpful staff. Overall a great stay

We were travelling as a group and had booked 3 rooms - 3 months in advance. Upon checking into my room, I am greeted with a strong smell of insecticide. After entering the bathroom, I understand why is it so. There are tiny, small flies in the bathroom all the time and they seem to be coming from the sewer. I understand that housekeeping tried to eliminate them with insecticides, but to no avail. I would rate this hotel very good if it could resolve the problem with their bathroom.

I have stayed at Rydges World Square before and I have to say it is excellent. The service is fast and prompt, the rooms are spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. Everytime I have stayed I have received the same service and it is nice to know when I want a weekend away I can always expect excellence at Rydges. I usually wait until I've left to write reviews but this is too much. The room is quite comfortable but I have been given a disabled room and there is no usable bench space in the bathroom and the large tap handle makes it hard to wet your face to shave. We love this hotel and always stay here when visiting the city. However a few things that bugged me this time. 1. At 6.30am a maintenance man entered our room slamming the door and calling out soemone's name. When he saw we were awoken and startled, he apologised profusely and said he was in the wrong room. I know mistakes happen, but very problematic IMO> 2. The rooms seem to be fitted with a new 'sensor' that cuts the power when movement is not detected for 10 minutes. This is a great idea in ... I stayed here for 2 nights (Friday/Saturday) in August 2016 as part of a promotion where you purchased one night and got to stay another for free (by joining their Priority Guest Rewards Program - which is Free). Paying for only one night, made this hotel very good value, however I would struggle to recommended it at full price ($314 per night for the king deluxe room).
