My wife and I headed to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast for a quick getaway. We wanted something clean, simple and in the CBD. We got all that and much more. The staff at Ibis (Lauren and Milan) were amazing. We couldn't be more impressed with the customer service. Their local knowledge is first rate and their attention to detail and generosity is something that we were definitely not expecting. Big thanks to Lauren for making my wife feel special on her birthday. We will be telling our friends t... Read more

We stayed at the Ibis Sydney King Street Wharf for a weekend, and had a very pleasant stay. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. We found the room had everything we needed, it was clean and comfortable, in particular we found the bed very comfortable. Location wise it was the best, only a couple of minutes walk to Darling Harbour, and also the train station. Highly recommended.

We used the Ibis Kings Wharf for our weekend away in Sydney, main reason it's cheap and close to the CBD and Darling Harbour, the rooms are small in typical Ibis style, but we'll appointed, one note try to avoid rooms with connecting doors as noise is like you're in the same room. Still I would stay again, but just take more care with room selection.

When we arrived we found they had double booked and we were left without a room... thats ok, as they got a taxi and put us up in another hotel for the night and there we were given a free breakfast for our trouble. After they organized to get us back to the hotel we were shown our room. Its a small room but since we were only there for sleeping suited us and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Close to Darling Harbour, this cute little hotel is close to restaurants and all the attractions. If you want to take a harbour cruise great place to stay. Very comfortable. Staff are very nice too and happy to help with any enquiry you might have. We will be back. We used the hotel as a base for our wedding anniversary and found it perfect. The management also looked after us too, thanks Milan.

Let me say that this small hotel is clean and well appointed with all the amenities one would require. Importantly the staff are switched on and available to help and offer great conversation. The meals ordered via room service were sufficient and are your base pub meal, however make sure you do not chose there base rooms by mistake as we did. As I have said they are well appointed but t are simply to small for two people both having luggage. You cannot move without moving something to get past.... Read more

Selected Ibis King Street Wharf as accommodation as we were doing a Sydney Harbour Cruise to see the Vivid Light Show. The location was 2 mins from the Wharf and the room was well appointed clean and comfortable. The Staff were very friendly and made the whole experience enjoyable. The parking on site for $50 per day was also excellent.

Located only 1 minute walk to King St Wharf (Darling Harbour ferry and a good variety of restaurants). Great location for the price. Parking was $50 in the hotel's parking lot. 'No standing' out the front of the hotel though while you check in and learn about the parking lot, so beware. Checking in took too long with only one staff at the desk from 2pm on a Friday. She wasn't forthcoming with information either. She knew we required parking yet failed to give us a parking lot card until we ... Read more

The hotel is at a very convenient location 2 minutes away from Darling Harbour and 5 minutes away from Wynyard Station. However, the room (for 2) we stayed in were extremely small as we could barely walk from the bathroom, past the bed to the desk. We also did not have enough space to store our 2 relatively small luggage bags and the kettle in the room had a rusty coil. However, the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating in getting us a replacement for the kettle. The breakfast buffet ... Read more

Rooms are very basic. They are neat and modern just not very cosy. No carpets on the floor, simple furniture and fixtures. My third floor room looked onto the Western Distributor with cars zipping past but the small window was double glazed and kept traffic noise to a minimum. The air-conditioning however was noisy. Buffet breakfast is very basic in a small room near reception area(minimal hot food). Pre-book breakfast for a cheaper rate. Not the place to stay for comfort but ok for a place to s... Read more

I stayed at the IBIS, King St., Sydney, a stone's throw from nearby Darling Harbour, during the first week of June 2016. This is a hotel which excels on all fronts. Great location, great standards, great facilities, and most import, great staff who have an obvious commitment to maintaining a very high level of customer service. My father booked 2 rooms here as we were attending a function at King Street Wharf and the location was very close. The rooms are very clean and it is in a very good location. Be warned the rooms are extremely small. Smaller than any I have stayed in in Sydney. You could basically just walk around the outside of the double bed. What a great Ibis located right in the heart of the city. You can walk down the hill to King Street Wharf and get the ferry or up the hill to Wynyard Train station which opens up the whole of Sydney to you. People who write reviews on here about the hotel rooms being too small, basic, cheaply fit out clearly don't know what they are buying. It's an ibis. These things are why the rooms are cheaper. Tiny rooms and my window was a direct view to the traffic on the motorway - when I say direct view I was eye level with the drivers about 6 ft from my window - a little disconcerting. Having said that, the room had great block-out blinds on the Windows and double glazing to reduce noise. Bed was comfy.. I suppose you could say the room was adequate, but definitely not cheap. Yes, it's an Ibis, but having stayed at other Ibis hotels I was expecting something a little more roomy for the price.

Positives for this hotel are its location near to Darling Harbour, and the bed was nice. Negatives are that it is not actually on Darling Hbr but adjacent to the expressway leading onto the Harbour Bridge. I had an eye level view of a six lane freeway. There is no carpet in the room and there is very little space. The price for one night was over $200, this is absurd.
