This particular hotel is second home to me. I brought with me my daughter, her husband and baby son. With me were also two of our office staff (it was their first visit to Australia). Ibis Sydney Darling Harbour is in an excellent location and all the necessities are available. Staff are helpful. Can't ask for more.

We stayed at this hotel this particular time because we lost our travel documents including our passports and we could not board the cruise ship. When the staff and management found out about our predicament, they were so helpful. We were given a discount on our room with complimentary breakfast and even gave us complimentary vouchers to Sydney attractions. We have always enjoyed staying at this hotel for its cleanliness and proximity to Darling Harbour and the light rail, and the staff, but the... Read more

Unfortunately the timing of my trip came with a pricetag of $400 a night for the ibis (including breakfast). The rooms are tiny. And the bathrooms are in a real need of an update. However if it is just one night and you are not going to be in your room - it will do. The beds are comfy, the shower hardly works and thats if there is hot water left. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Location is fantastic. Close to everything you need. A bit annoying get there from the airport however. ... Read more

Check in was a breeze. Staff was kind enough to give me a room with darling Harbour view and late check out. Did not expect much from the room. It was adequate size, little worn out but otherwise not bad. Complimentary bottles water was appreciated. However, the bathroom is tiny and shower stall is too small. Could barely fit in there. As someone who is peculiar about bathrooms it was deal breaker. Breakfast experience was better than expected. Plenty options, good quality and not too crowded ... Read more

Firstly, it is very important to become an Accor member before booking, your experience will be enhanced. I have been a member for about 11 years and stayed in many Accor properties but this is the first time I have been recognised as a member throughout my stay and treated like a loyal member. Even bar staff were congratulating me on my membership when we went for complementary drinks plus a few more ???. What we loved: check in quick and easy, done online before arrival. Rooms were comfortable and CLEAN, but small. Most probably not for an extended stay as there wouldn't be room for a large suitcase. Go for a Harbour view room, as it is great to look out over the city and darling Harbour.Service was excellent. Asked for a later check-out, no problem. Light Rail close by so no worries about getting around. Would recommend this one.

Stayed here for 7 nights. Amazing hotel, very clean, rooms cleaned everyday. Bar staff are great and I liked the room service option too. This was our first time in Sydney and we were more than happy staying in darling harbour this seemed the best area to stay as its close to all the main attractions/bus&ferry tours. Would 100% stay here again.

Met some Sydney friends and stayed here during Vivid. There is a Vivid show right in Darling Harbour and it's a long walk or a short taxi ride to the main show areas around Circular Quay and the Opera House. The rooms were clean, perhaps a little on the small side but that was no issue for us and the staff were very helpful. Our room had a great view over Darling Harbour, (which was only a few minutes walk.) The room was more than adequate with all we needed to make a comfortable stay. The deal we had for our stay included breakfast which was a beaut buffet with lots of choice. The Ibis is easy to get to with the light rail from Central station.

When we arrived at the hotel we were told one of the two adjoining rooms at the price we had chosen was no longer available. It's ok, the hotel has the feel of a good hostel. Rooms are not very soundproof. When someone opens their door to their room in the hallway it sounds like they are coming in to your room.
