I stayed at Hyde Parks wth my family during May'16. The hotel is very close to Museum station and walkable to Darling Harbour. It is near to Circular quay/Rocks as well. Friendly staff and good service as well. Could have had two bathrooms in a family room of four , just a suggestion.

We stayed for 3 nights in a delux studio which was more that ample In Space and facilities. The supplied breakfast was just perfect each day so we could start the day with sustenance ready to explore. Museum station was so close it was ridiculously easy. 4 minute 2 station stop to circular quay. $2.50 each way. Buses run all the time right out front. We went to the footy at the scg Friday night and that was simply a matter of walking out the front and grabbing one of the many buses. Too easy. Bu... Read more

This hotel is located directly across from Hyde Park and close to everything. We stayed one night and found it very convenient with cafes and convenience stores nearby. Our room contained three beds, a queen and two singles. There was a kitchenette with an oven, cooktop, microwave, sink, fridge and cutlery & crockery. We did not require these items but if you intend to stay longer, you could certainly save money by preparing your own meals. There was a small balcony overlooking the park. T... Read more

Conveniently located near train and bus stations and within walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are well cared for and well equipped. The cleanliness was ok, but we did find a sock & napkins left in the room. The quality of the bedding was impeccable. Rooms recieved fresh towels daily and the breakfast would be topped up (incl fresh milk). The staff were helpful and polite enough. We had a nice view over Hyde Park from our balcony and the decor in the rooms is beautiful. I would reco... Read more

Stayed 3 nights with family of 4. Rooms were clean and tidy and overall was good value for money. A small continental breakfast is supplied. Please note there is no restaurant or eating area, room only. The room we had included a small kitchenette which was handy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was noise from the room above us travelled. I would say dragging of kitchen chairs caused this. Whilst not major it did continue for our stay and was slightly annoying late a... Located on Elizabeth Street, opposite Museum Railway Station (can get to just about anywhere in the Sydney CBD). Opposite Hyde Park, my room on the street side on 3rd floor was quiet with a good view. Room had a mini kitchen, and a continental breakfast had been placed in the fridge, so was able to prepare cereal with milk and sugar, toast and tea/coffee for breakfast very easily. There are over twenty thousand hotel rooms in Sydney with near 90% occupancy rate, the tariffs for these rooms by international measure are very reasonable and the Hyde Park Inn is no exception. Simple, perfect central location, proximity to public transport and walking distance from major attractions should make this place a gold-mine. Yet, the Hyde Park Inn remains unpretentious, welcoming and very well run, the amount of money you pay for the privilege of staying here is quite reasonable and... Read more

I found this place here on TA. We booked a six-night stay for our visit to Sydney. There are so many positives about the property I don't know where to start. The location is right in the middle of Sydney, within easy walking of much of what you'd want to do in the city, Opera House, Eye, museums, and dozens of restaurants and shops. We opted for a cab ride from the airport but could have easily used the train since the Museum stop is right across the street from the hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe... Read more

Stayed 3 nights (couple with 16 yr old). Room was ideal as a base from which to explore and access the main transport links. Sure, you could nit-pick about a few little details (pillows not soft enough for me) but when you consider the price and see the view across the ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park at sunrise, you conclude that this place is great. Light breakfast option was adequate and greatly appreciated for those early morning trips. Woolworths supermarket was only just round the corner a... Read more

I really enjoyed staying in the Hyde Park inn. It wasn't salubrious but it was clean and comfortable. I stayed with my daughter and we asked for a studio room with a double and single bed. It contained a kitchenette and balcony that both looked over Hyde park, the memorial and buildings on the other side of the park. One of those rare places you can find a place to sleep a family of 5-6 in the one room for a reasonable price. Sure the rooms are standard and won't meet five star luxury but it's everything you need - great location to access all of Sydney's attractions, light breakfast (cereals + toast + OJ/fruit) incl in price, car parking incl in price - for a room to use as a base to sleep and spend most of your time out and about exploring you can't beat this place.

Great location opposite Museum Railway Station. The room it self was good. We were on the 14th floor, and could hear every footstep in the room above. When someone above walked, our lightshades and wardrobe doors rattled. Very difficult to get a good nights sleep. The inn is well placed in the middle of Sydney. It is right at the rail museum exit and just a short walk to Darling Harbor. Rail passes are easy to get at the local 7-11. The balcony rooms look out over Hyde park. Although it is located on a main street, the noise is mitigated once the doors and windows closed. The only negative comment would be that it doesn't have a safe in the room.

I have stayed here before and it was ok. As a lower - mid end hotel it was quiet and met the fundamentals. The budget queen room however was tiny with virtually no natural light. I was thankful I was on my own as it really wasn't suitable for a couple. Anyone claustrophobic would be uncomfortable indeed while larger individuals would be able to enter the bathroom and manouvre in a manner to actually use the toilet.

Opposite is a nice park so could go for some early morning walk. The 'intercontinental' breakfast consists of milk, orange juice, cereals, 2 pieces of bread, canned fruit and some spread like butter, peanut butter, marmalade etc. Everything is given in per person portion - 2 pieces of bread, 1 pack of milk, 1 pre-packaged orange juic... Facing the spacious views of Hyde Park and close to Town Hall and Museum stations this hotel is perfectly located for work or pleasure in central Sydney. This was my 4th stay within the past 15 years and everything was reliably the same as the first stay. Comfortable and spacious rooms with very friendly staff and favourable room rates. The continental breakfast was a little basic and disappointing but there are plenty of excellent coffee-shops nearby.

We stayed here after finding it difficult to find reasonably priced family rooms in Sydney. This was middle of the road. Room was fine, modern and with good fittings and fixtures although house keeping could have done a bit better. The bedside tables had not been wiped and microwave was also dirty. Parking is available underneath the hotel. Korea town is just around the corner so lots of good Korean BBQ options for dinner. Walk down to circular key was a little further than we hoped, but you're... Read more

This hotel is very well located. It's within walking distance to Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, the Opera House, Paddy's Markets, China Town and the CBD and, obviously, right across the road from Hyde Park. The hotel itself is old and dated but it's clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a room that had wheelchair access and it was perfect for our needs. Lots of room to navigate a manual wheelchair around. The bathroom was spacious but could have another grab rail between the fold down s... Read more

We stayed at Hyde Park Inn for 2 nights this week. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment as we travelled as a couple plus one friend. The apartment was clean and modern and well equiped with all we needed for our stay. Breakfast was included consisting of cereal , bread to toast, fruit cups, juice, milk, tea and coffee, which was ample for us and better than having to go out somewhere to find a place to eat as it meant we could have a quick brekkie and be out the door to start our day exploring S... Friendly staff and did the job. Room a bit dusty as glass dust trap on parts of furniture. Soft bed and pillows not the best, but ideal location and good size room. Good to have small kitchenette, we didn't really use it but nice option. Fresh milk and bread supplied. Would stay here again

I just returned from a week's stay in a deluxe room. This is a no-nonsense hotel that is perfectly located, which suited me fine by and large. Here are some notes that future visitors (especially American) may find useful - The Museum (train/subway) Station is literally just around the corner. The lifts (elevators) are now in place. I was able to go down from the street to the platform to catch a train to the airport (fare $17 AD) without taking a single step on a stair. I am not sure if th... Read more

Great and convenient location. Very big and comfortable rooms. Would be very good for families as they have kitchen and good space. No breakfast facilities but very easy to go to the many cafes you can find in the area.

We have stayed at The Hyde Park Inn on many occasions. It is so convenient to everywhere in Sydney and now Museum Station has a lift from the platform it makes travel from Sydney airport so easy. Our room was spacious enough and well equipped but a new TV is a must! The simple breakfast supplies of cereals and toast is very welcome indeed and saves a lot of money. The room is surprisingly quiet considering busy Elizabeth street is below so stay on a high floor as we do. The staff are very friend... Read more

Hyde Park in has had a renovation, the room was modern, great size and most importantly (for me anyway) has an excellent shower with good pressure! We were in a family room, which had a double bed, two singles and a futon and there was still heaps of room to move. Staff very friendly and check in and out is easy. The carpark is very tight but they make you aware of that when booking etc and there is a public carpark not far up the road. Great for walking to Darling Harbour and plenty of great re... Read more

We stayed at the Hyde Park in for just one night and chose it because it was rated well and they have free parking and we had our car. Sydney is not an easy city to navigate in and unfortunately we approached the hotel from the other side of the road from which you cannot turn into their little car park driveway. So we needed to keep driving a work out how to get back on the other side of the road. Once we pulled into the narrow driveway we went down the steep entry right passed the intercom to ... Read more

Hotel facilities are fine. Clean and quiet. Central to everything. But... Parking is rather awkward, we have a 4x4 and to get in and out of their Carpark is the hardest thing ever. Very narrow and no room to make maneuvers. Also, their "continental" breakfast consists of gladwraped slices of bread in the fridge, a few spreads and 4 types of cereal boxes (we were more than 4 people). At the end of the day though, the rates per night really paid for the accessibility to tourist destinations in wa... Read more

This hotel would have been a great find if it hadn't been for the terrible (and unnecessary) state of the room. I don't think housekeeping had moved a bed or dusted anything that looked remotely difficult in ages! Bed linen and towels were good and front of house staff helpful. The park opposite had plenty going on and anything else was not much of a walk away.

We stayed in a Deluxe Studio and it was surprisingly of very low quality. Very defficient cleanliness of the room and windows. The general status of furniture was very used and old. The breakfast included 4 leafs of bread and cheap unidose of orange juice and preserved fruit. Location very convenient to visit the city as it is in a walking distance from Botanic gardens and shopping area.

We stayed here for two nights and found all the facilities to be great. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The breakfast was basic but was enough to get your day started. The location was great with nearly everything we wanted to do within walking distance and easy access to train stations. Having Hyde Park across the road was lovely with beautiful gardens to look at. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Great place for families.

The hotel is a stones throw from Museum subway station. It overlooks the ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park. It is an easy 30 minute walk through the beautiful gardens down to the Opera House and Darling Harbour. Breakfast is already in your room and is replenished through the day. Lots of tea and coffee. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful.

Arriving at the hotel we were told that we'd only paid for 1 of our 3 nights and the 2 nights stay were a lot higher price than we paid for the 1st night, not a good start! Then they take your car keys off you, no idea why?? It can't be for security reasons because it's parked under ground in a secure car park. The room is OK nothing special, the view we had of hyde park was quite something though. The beds were quite comfortable and the room serviced daily, the breakfast is nothing special as i... Great rooms with lots of space and kitchenette area. We were lucky enough to be staying in a room with a balcony that overlooked the park. Location is ideal for exploring Sydney, close to lots of shops and restaurants and the museum train station. You can walk to the harbours, however it was so hot during our visit that the air conditioned train was a welcomed relieve to escape the heat. Breakfast (slices of bread, fruit and preserves) are left in the fridge and although its a nice gesture it ... Read more

The location of this hotel is great, very handy to walk to most of the Sydney attractions such as Darling Harbour, Opera House, Art Galley, Botanical Gardens, Chinatown and many more. Close to hundreds of restaurants and pubs. The Museum train station is just across the road, and the trip from the Museum station to the airport is only 20 minutes. Because the hotel is on a main and busy road, it is noisy, even on the higher levels. The room is air-conditioned so closing the door and windows does ... Read more

Our room overlooked Hyde park and was spacious and spotlessly clean , with museum station across the road my 81 year old mum was able to easily get around thanks to the new lifts. Even for mum location is easy walking to QVictoia building and city. And with the kitchenette and breakfast basics we had lovely relaxing mornings. Would definitely stay again.

Second visit to Hyde Park Inn. Last time a few years ago in a back room, this time front room with two balconies for 4 days (room 101 on the 10th flr). No hesitations to recommend the hotel to others. Breakfast (cereal,, toast, fruit cup) was a very welcome bonus - more money left to spend elsewhere in Sydney. Top location, across the road from Museum station and easy to walk to Town Hall station when needed. Close to walk to supermarket. Room was very clean, serviced daily with breakfast suppli...
