I stayed at Hyde Parks wth my family during May'16. The hotel is very close to Museum station and walkable to Darling Harbour. It is near to Circular quay/Rocks as well. Friendly staff and good service as well. Could have had two bathrooms in a family room of four , just a suggestion.

We stayed for 3 nights in a delux studio which was more that ample In Space and facilities. The supplied breakfast was just perfect each day so we could start the day with sustenance ready to explore. Museum station was so close it was ridiculously easy. 4 minute 2 station stop to circular quay. $2.50 each way. Buses run all the time right out front. We went to the footy at the scg Friday night and that was simply a matter of walking out the front and grabbing one of the many buses. Too easy. Bu... Read more

This hotel is located directly across from Hyde Park and close to everything. We stayed one night and found it very convenient with cafes and convenience stores nearby. Our room contained three beds, a queen and two singles. There was a kitchenette with an oven, cooktop, microwave, sink, fridge and cutlery & crockery. We did not require these items but if you intend to stay longer, you could certainly save money by preparing your own meals. There was a small balcony overlooking the park. T... Read more

Conveniently located near train and bus stations and within walking distance to many attractions. Rooms are well cared for and well equipped. The cleanliness was ok, but we did find a sock & napkins left in the room. The quality of the bedding was impeccable. Rooms recieved fresh towels daily and the breakfast would be topped up (incl fresh milk). The staff were helpful and polite enough. We had a nice view over Hyde Park from our balcony and the decor in the rooms is beautiful. I would reco... Read more

Decent & very pampering place to stay. I was staying on 11th floor & view was absolutely stunning. Hotel is very much centrally located & most of the places were at a leisure walking distance. Park right across the hotel, & hop in- hop out bus stop was also quite near by.

Stayed 3 nights with family of 4. Rooms were clean and tidy and overall was good value for money. A small continental breakfast is supplied. Please note there is no restaurant or eating area, room only. The room we had included a small kitchenette which was handy. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was noise from the room above us travelled. I would say dragging of kitchen chairs caused this. Whilst not major it did continue for our stay and was slightly annoying late a... Stay was nice.clean neat rooms. Nice decor. Balcony bit high for my liking, being on the 5th floor and all. View from room amazing at night. Would stay again. But parking is a pain if they cannot fit you in at venue. You have to drive around a few blocks to park and walk back up.

Located on Elizabeth Street, opposite Museum Railway Station (can get to just about anywhere in the Sydney CBD). Opposite Hyde Park, my room on the street side on 3rd floor was quiet with a good view. Room had a mini kitchen, and a continental breakfast had been placed in the fridge, so was able to prepare cereal with milk and sugar, toast and tea/coffee for breakfast very easily. On site parking was full, but able to overnight at the Goulburn Street public car park (included in room rate) which... Read more

There are over twenty thousand hotel rooms in Sydney with near 90% occupancy rate, the tariffs for these rooms by international measure are very reasonable and the Hyde Park Inn is no exception. Simple, perfect central location, proximity to public transport and walking distance from major attractions should make this place a gold-mine. Yet, the Hyde Park Inn remains unpretentious, welcoming and very well run, the amount of money you pay for the privilege of staying here is quite reasonable and... Read more

Great having the breakfast in the self contained kitchen fridge in the mornings. Clock radio was on the blink and never got fixed despite request. Otherwise, good double glazing for noise and cold. It was cosy and comfortable. Staff friendly. Nice and close to transport.

I found this place here on TA. We booked a six-night stay for our visit to Sydney. There are so many positives about the property I don't know where to start. The location is right in the middle of Sydney, within easy walking of much of what you'd want to do in the city, Opera House, Eye, museums, and dozens of restaurants and shops. We opted for a cab ride from the airport but could have easily used the train since the Museum stop is right across the street from the hotel. We stayed in a Deluxe... Read more

Stayed 3 nights (couple with 16 yr old). Room was ideal as a base from which to explore and access the main transport links. Sure, you could nit-pick about a few little details (pillows not soft enough for me) but when you consider the price and see the view across the ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park at sunrise, you conclude that this place is great. Light breakfast option was adequate and greatly appreciated for those early morning trips. Woolworths supermarket was only just round the corner a... Read more

Rooms probably recently re-furbished, neat, clean, plenty of space, kitchen very adequate, simple continental breakfast a bonus, as was the free newspaper outside the door each morning - nice touch. I really enjoyed staying in the Hyde Park inn. It wasn't salubrious but it was clean and comfortable. I stayed with my daughter and we asked for a studio room with a double and single bed. It contained a kitchenette and balcony that both looked over Hyde park, the memorial and buildings on the other side of the park. It was lovely waking up to that view but the best was at night when the memorial was all lit up. As we were on the 12th floor, there was hardly any traffic noise and only he... Read more

One of those rare places you can find a place to sleep a family of 5-6 in the one room for a reasonable price. Sure the rooms are standard and won't meet five star luxury but it's everything you need - great location to access all of Sydney's attractions, light breakfast (cereals + toast + OJ/fruit) incl in price, car parking incl in price - for a room to use as a base to sleep and spend most of your time out and about exploring you can't beat this place.

Ok value for what we paid. Continental breakfast included but pretty average (actually had breakfast at the coffee shop down 2 doors). Maintenance issues when we visited, only 1 elevator working and limited hot was was a bit of a problem. When the room was made up, no dishes were cleaned. Walking distance to SCG, CBD, Rocks and Darling Harbour.

Great location opposite Museum Railway Station. The room it self was good. We were on the 14th floor, and could hear every footstep in the room above. When someone above walked, our lightshades and wardrobe doors rattled. Very difficult to get a good nights sleep. Only one of the two lifts was working, leading to wait tomes of 10 to 15 minutes sometimes. We were talking to another guest who was there in April this year, who told us only one lift was working then! I will never stay there again... Read more

Ok, so for 6 of our 7 days the second lift didn't work, so we had to wait...minor in the scheme of things as serviced rooms, good air con (Sydney 25 in July!) And complimentary continental breakfast. Clean rooms plus great shower pressure, nice view over Hyde Park and close to transport and able to walk to The Rocks and Circular Quay. It's a great central bed for a night - staff were polite - thanks for waving down a taxi for us. We hope to be back.

Have stayed here a few times whilst visiting Sydney. Very comfortable rooms, friendly staff and secure car parking. On our recent stay, we came down from the Blue Mountains by train to stay in Sydney. The hotel is quite a pleasant 15-minute or so walk from Central train station. Liked that there was no bar frig so that there was room for other food and drink. Parking arrangements were excellent. We were happy to pay $10 for late departure from the car park.
