We arrived early in the morning after a long 27 hours travel to Sydney. Check in was smooth given the room keys but not any instructions on who to get to room. Got to rooms it was ok at best the beds are on wheels and when I sat down on it it moved. After nearly falling from the bed I decided to unpack. In the wardrobe on the top shelf was dust that you would not believe. So didn't unpack and went to sleep or tried to... What they didn't tell was about the building work and the noise kicks in ... Stayed at the Four Points on a work trip. Other than the lobby area being under renovation, there was nothing much to fault about. My room was on the 6th floor and I had a view of Cockle Bay. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk to darling harbour, 10 minutes to Wynyard station, around 15-20 minutes to circular Quay and around 10-15 minutes walk from Town Hall station/ George street. The room was clean, had all the amenities, the fridge was well stocked and it was modern. Can't recall being ... Read more

Stayed here for 12 days and I had a lovely room that overlooked the harbour side. Te beds are large and the rooms are spacious. Food - my breakfast was included. A tip: just go with whatever is put out in the buffet. If you order your omelettes, the line up is usually long and it may take 15-20 mins to get your breakfast on plate. Rest of the meals, I ate out as there are plenty of options in and around the harbourside and rest of the wharf area. In general, it's a clean hotel located convenie... Read more

Stayed here with friends to do a lunchtime cruise. Room was lovely and comfortable. They are currently renovating so the upstairs bar was not available which was a pity but understandable. Great location for things to see and do that side of Darling harbour and not too far to walk across the bridge to the other side. Service was good and efficient. Would recommend this hotel and would stay again.

This hotel has been under renovations for months. They seem to be in the finitions (to be confirmed) but they start the work at 7 am with heavy construction noises (hammer, drilling ...), you cannot even listen to TV. This is in my opinion clearly a lack of respect for your clients not to be able to postpone the start of these works to 8 pm. The answers you get when you raise the issue are terrible ("have not you seen the hotel was under renovation when you booked ?", next time we will reserve a... Read more

Almost finished the refurbishment going on there presently, we stayed in the Maritime Luxury Suite with view of Darling Harbour. The room was good size , clean, and sound proof glass windows etc. i ordered room service breakfast which was promptly delivered . apart from the restaurant downstairs theres really nothing else there. i would say the only comment would be the carpet needs replacing and maybe some art on the walls in long hallways etc to spice up a very plain hallway. we were on the 12... Just stayed there for 1 night so couldn't enjoy the perfect location this hotel is in. The staff is very friendly, Rooms are not very big but very modern and of course clan and the Sheraton standard. The lobby was just renovated and looks really good. I would definitely go back here, either for a business trip or even more for a personal trip to Sydney.

If you can forgive the ongoing renovations, this is a real gem in Sydney city. I've stayed here four times this year, and as yet have not heard any noise from the renovations - but I do know colleagues who have. What I love about this hotel is the location and rooms. It's possibly the quietest hotel in Sydney - so if you're a light sleeper like me, definitely put this on the list. Rooms are large, stylish and well appointed. Room service is decent, although no a lot of choice. Service is alw... Read more

We stayed at the Hotel for four nights when we arrived in Sydney. The location is PERFECT for walking to Darling Harbor for restaurants and nightlife. Plus vivid was on when we were there. Also, it's nicely located for walking to the Queen Victoria Building and taking the trains from Town Hall. We had intended to stay at a hotel near the airport the night before we left, but we were so happy, we changed our plans!!

All in all I was impressed by this place. My room was low, on the second floor, but even from there I had a decent partial view over Darling Harbour, and I can imagine the views higher up must be exceptional. Clean, light room (which I appreciated after the subterranean darkness of my previous hotel in Melbourne). Bit of a queue at check-in, and issues with keys stopping working, but I found the front desk staff helpful and professional. Check-out was agreeably quick as I was in a rush. Sussex ... Read more

I was unable to get into my regular hotel so was referred to this hotel. It was an older hotel with a recent refurbishment. The bed was good and bathroom as you would expect of a modern hotel. Only complaint was that the remote for the tv did not work very well but the concierge came up promptly and showed a work around. I checked in late and whilst there were a few people checking in the staff were professional and efficient. It was a bit further away from my clients than my normal hotel bu... Read more

I often stay here for work as this hotel is usually reasonably priced. It is well positioned at Darling Harbour and very close to the CBD for business, shopping or eating out. Most rooms are fairly small/compact but well appointed, modern and clean. The harbour view rooms are great with stunning views. The hotel has recently undergone a significant expansion with a new tower taking the room count close to 1000. The new lobby and bars look fantastic. Very large, modern and boasting great views. I... At this hotel for a conference attended by Mrs Merlot, and Vin tagged along for some other business. Rooms are very small, views of Darling Harbour ok, we asked to change rooms for a better view. The yardstick is how does this compare to other 5 star hotels in Sydney and the answer is - not favourably. Check in and concierge adequate but not great. Different fellow at reception when we asked to change rooms - far more obliging and helpful. Vin stayed 2 nights, Mrs Merlot stayed 3 nights. In ho... Read more

Unfortunately I arrived when their computer system had crashed and it took an hour a half to get my room (at 1030 at night) I was then given a key to a room that didn't exist (there is no 849!) and had to head back to reception carrying my luggage up and down the floors. No staff offered to help with my bags. While waiting in the bar for my room I ordered a 'classic Caesar salad' which turned out to be a pile of separate ingredients lined up on a horizontal plate with dressing on the side. Is th... Good business hotel but renovations having been going on for way too long. Great location on the edge of the CBD. Could do more to wow regulars. All abit basic. Not really a family hotel. Menus could do with a refresh. Door staff very attentive.

I thought the dining experience was delightful. Good food, good staff and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately the hotel is having construction works carried out and the noise levels at night are disturbing. The foyer is glamorous and attractive. The bar area is delightful.

Pros: Comfy rooms, great breakfast. Well located in the city of Sydney Cons: There is no gym in the main building. You need to get a pass and use the gym outside of the hotel which isn't very convenient

Four Points by Sheraton hotel, Darling Harbour Sydney was a big dissapointment for me when I stayed with them for a week in July. Hotel staff that was barely courteous, would not do what they say, hardly cared about customers. Case in point being a fire alarm that went off around 3 AM on my floor (2nd floor). The alarm stayed on for 15 odd minutes with guests frantically stepping out into the corridor to ascertain where the fire was. The announcement only mentioned that the fire alarm had bee... Read more

Difficult to know where to start with this place. Not sure if it is because they're de-mob lazy prior to the transfer to Park Hyatt (?) or just that the standards/expectations in Asia are so much higher, but so far, 3/3 - so not an oversight, my room has not been cleaned properly - bathroom taps left dirty, small insects from the drain, bathroom floor not mopped, crockery un-washed, carpet not vacuumed, generally room left untidied. Check in was very efficient and for sure the common areas are ... Read more

My family gave me a night at Four Points by Sheraton including a buffet breakfast for a special birthday. We also had dinner at the Corn Exchange restaurant. Our room was on the 11th floor and had an amazing view. The hotel has easy access to Darling Harbour and parking is immediately across the road at a discounted rate. When we checked in the young man who took our bags when we dropped them up did not give us a special ticket for the car park but it was sorted out the next day when we checked ... Read more

The newly renovated lobby is nice and fresh and the check in process was very efficient and staff were very friendly. However, once get into the room, although renovated, it is very basic and sparsely decorated ( plain walls and only one picture in the room). I think it is clean and adequate. The bathroom is modern but basic, when conspired to Sheraton on the Park. It feels more like holiday inn. Overall it is OK for a quick stay for business.

OK, I check in to a good hotel, good lovation but also paying $359 for a night, and then they still carge an additional $20 for wi-fi ?!?! That's a no-go ! Back to Radisson - this was clearly a mistake. Did the management notice this is 2016 ?! Not good enough !

An overnighter in a tourist hotel to attend a specific function. The room was good and the bed very comfortable. We didn't have a view of the harbour which I would ask for next time. However breakfast was another story....everything you could possibly think of was available and in good supply. One of my breakfast partners had several courses ranging from fruit to muesli, to a personalised omlette, to meats and cheeses, to cakes and pastries, back to soft poached eggs and bacon. Over the top? Ye... Read more

We stayed at this property for two nights. It was mayhem checking in - there was some function going on - did not get the SPG Preferred treatment that is for sure. We were not offered any of the privileges of being a Gold Member. We also had issues at the bar. The only saving grace was its location was handy to Darling Harbour. We will be contacting SPG to indemnify. I believe this property is dropping out of the SPG Program - which is not a loss.

We had an early problem getting our luggage to the room but this was sorted eventually. Peter the concierge was very helpful during our stay. The hotel has an excellent breakfast. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable and the harbour views were amazing. Darling harbour has a multitude of restaurants and entertainment including the largest imax cinema in the world (or so they say). The hop on hop off tour bus stops just outside too. A great base for a few days in Sydney.

Its a business hotel well located. The rooms are small for my liking. The lobby area and the restaurants were under construction during our visit which I didn't see while booking. So the hotel was reduced to a bed and breakfast.. But the services were nice and staff was doing everything to avoid any inconvenience to guests. The location was nice, though it was at other side of darling harbour.

Had the good fortune of staying at this revamped hotel for a business conference in June. It has undergone major renovations and now presents as a modern inner city luxury hotel. The rooms and service were exceptional and reflect what you would expect from a Sheraton property providing five star service without being excessive. The location is brilliant if you want a short walk to either the city centre or Darling Harbour. I would strongly recommend this hotel for business or pleasure her sta... Read more

Disappointing to say the least. The hotel and staff are what you would expect from this standard. Rooms well appointed, beds comfortable etc staff accomodating. It stops there, of course you expect the room service and in house restaurants to be expensive for this type of hotel, but unfortunately your $300 a night includes not much. I requested toast for my breakfast (a $38 Aussie breakfast is just too much food for me for breakfast) and was charged an $8 delivery fee. So the toast cost $4 and t... Read more

A bit of a mixed bag really. The concierge was extremely helpful, but there is no valet parking service. Check-in straightforward and the hotel lobby area is recently updated. The lifts have been half-renovated and it was a little confusing over whether the room card was required to operate it or whether, as in one case, the lift just didn't want to go where we were going! We were located, presumably, on one of the floors that has yet to be renovated. The room was small and painted in an unattr... Read more

Great upgrade with grand entrance and nice Restaurant and Bar areas. Was a great stay with a Harbour View room which was fantastic at night time. Service from all the staff in the restaurant was fantastic. The buffet breakfast is great with a good selection and the coffee you can order is actually ok :) (I'm a coffee snob). Room was clean and adequate and the bed was comfortable which is important. Only thing holding me back from a 5 was the noise on several occasions from late night party goers... Read more

We had booked the hotel for 3 nights but ending up staying only one night. The room was very noisy, we could literally hear the neighbours next door talk to each other. The doors are not sound proof so when people walk by in the hallway it feels like they are walking through your room. Rooms are ok, ceilings in bathroom and hall super low. We complained about the noise at the front office, front office manager was right next to the employee. Nothing was done about our complaint, we were just to... Read more

We have stayed at four points nearly every time we are in Sydney. We have family and friends spread around in Sydney so I would say we have stayed at least 5 times. It is sadly becoming to expensive in the hands of Hyatt Corp, although we had an enjoyable stay. The food in bar whilst waiting to go to the restaurant, was laughable, a picture below will show you what I mean. I ordered what I thought would be sizeable canapés with a glass of champagne for $25, so thought what a great idea I'll get... Read more
