We got a room at the top floor 17th, view was great. The room was clean, the housekeeping staff were nice. However: 1. They charged the first night with 1.5% extra charge without telling us. 2. I booked the room and added breakfast firstly, however we decided to cancel breakfast over 10 days before, booking.com sent me an amendment so should be $483. However when we checked in, they charge us $588. That staff miss "T" did not listen to what I said (twice) and the printed new confirmation (wit... Read more

Myself and my wife were convinced to attend a session at Wyndham and were offered discounted dream world passes. We advised them we have a three year old child and we were advised that there is a play area for kids but your child is more than welcome to attend the session. At the day of the session our son did not settle in the play area and we were not allowed to have the child with us at the session and were told to leave refunding the deposit they took. We felt so unwelcomed and don't think i... Read more

All amenities are available, the room was modern luxurious concept. The balconies have nice view. They have sofa bed on the living room, the island kitchen really makes cooking much easier. Near to the heart of surfer paradise. Parking space available.

Were offered very cheap accom as member of family is in the club. Did the 90 minute session which was positive until they said it was $35000 and you had to commit right there and then. I stated that no one ever said you needed to commit straight away and that I wanted to do some research. Was told that was not possible. Was interested but felt the need to search for my own answers. Walked away. The actual hotel is nice and service is good.

Checked into the Wyndham on the 5th June. Was really looking forward to our little weekend away from work. Literally after checking in at the reception counter, we were approached by a staff member who tryed Very hard to get us to come to one of there conference sessions by persuading us with free tickets or discounted tickets etc. not a fantastic start to our little getaway. We made it clear that we were not interested( politely as we could) but he was still trying to persuade us. It was a big ... Read more

Travelled to Gold Coast from Brisbane on a vacation from 13 to 16 June 2016. Wyndham Surfers Paradise apartments, located near the Surfers Paradise Tram Station, are equipped with washing machine, dryer and other basic necessities. Stayed at the ocean view apartments, however, to discover that it is gonna be a "pay-and-pay" service. If you do not require any ocean view, just get an ordinary apartment will do. Although they do have friendly staff like Carter and Janet, I sense that the manage... Read more

I stayed at this property for three nights with my wife and two adult kids. We stayed on the 16th floor. We checked in early at about 12 noon on a Friday. Our room was ready so the hotel staff had no issue in letting us in early. We dumped our bags and went shopping. The young man that checked us in looked like he just joined the hotel staff. He did a great job and was pleasant to deal with. We booked a two bedroom unit and it did not fail to impress. Our unit was clean, well presented and had ... Read more

Booked this hotel with the recommendation of a friend. However, the experience wasnt the same as what I was expecting. Seems like the hotel is more for businessman as when I first step into the 1st floor. I thought I was in a showroom for properties. Then turn out the we have to go to level 2 for check in. Went to our room and found out the dustbin was not cleared with food and other dirty stuff in it. We have to clear it as we are supposed to clear the rubbish on our own. l o l. This really da... I booked a 5 nights stay via Booking.com. Booking.com stated "free cancellation" for booking made via its website. At about 6 months prior to check-in date, I cancelled the hotel booking due to a change in plan. To my astonishment, I found out that the hotel had already charged my credit card a deposit fee. I did not get a full refund of the deposit charged to my credit card. To all readers, please be aware and read the fine prints carefully prior to making a booking via Booking.com.

I wish I could leave a glowing review. The apartment itself was what you would expect from a Wyndham Resort. But the gnats and cigarette smell coming through the ventilation and/or drainagesystem in the bathroom and laundry (note: the balcony doors were shut and no smoke was smelled coming in from outside) permeated the apartment and persisted throughout our stay. The staff stated that whenever it rains heavily, gnats have been known to crawl up through the drainage system. Perhaps people are pu... Read more

We stayed here for two nights. It was a surprise from my partner. Very clean and comfortable. Nice pool and hot tub. We got the room up top. Not a seaview but still good. Room is clean and got everything you need. We cooked everyday and we enjoy staying in the room and just enjoy the view. Nice resort host. We quite enjoy our stay there.

Great size apartments with everything you need. Some rooms need a bit of minor maintenance ( e.g.curtain detached slightly from track). Views are fantastic - beach, river and city . Close to everything and light rail outside door. Pool area with sand and a spa is fantastic for kids and adults. Huge outdoor entertaining area with bbq's, comfy furniture (lots of it) , and all under cover. Staff friendly and approachable. Lent us a stroller for our grandson (free). Recommend for families .

Right from the get go the staff were really friendly and helpful. I was expecting just a room with a bathroom which is what I had seen online but it turned out to be more of a fully equipped 1 bedroom apartment including a laundry. Went to go for a swim and discovered the pool was nicely heated and there was a spa that I didn't know about either. Super comfy bed with a selection of different pillows to suit. Not that it matters but the rooms are well decorated and modern. Would definitely s... Read more

The Wyndham at Surfers is in a great location, only 2 blocks from the beach and with many restaurants nearby. The views from the apartments are either hinterland/river or ocean view. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious and fully self contained with a very generous balcony. The only thing missing from the balcony was a small dining table which would have completed it, but there are small sides tables and chairs on the balcony. The glass doors to the balcony are double-glazed so ... Read more

First of all, it was certainly central and very spacious which you would expect when you book a 2-bedroom apartment which can sleep up to 6. I felt that the price that we were charged however ($286 base fee was for 2-people in a 6 berth apartment and we were then charged an additional $450! for the other 3 people) I ended up feeling a little underwhelmed. Why not just charge for the apartment - it seemed like a terrible money grab. Who books a 2-bedroom apartment for 2 people? If it sleeps up to... Read more

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a great 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen and laundry, ensuite and second bathroom. The fridge was full size. The apartment was on the higher floors and had a really nice view of both hinterlands as well as ocean. On site facilities included a gym ( though pretty small and for me being an early riser, it was disappointing that the gym didn't open until 7 am). The pool was lovely as was the hot tub. Bbq area with outdoor tables and chairs was also good. S... Read more

This room had not been cleaned. Sticky kitchen and bathrooms. GRIME and MOULD everywhere. For the princely sum they charge a night you would not think that you would have to take your own rubbish to the STINKY rubbish chute near the lifts. Check out early because it will take you that long to get to reception when all the lifts are out of order!

We spent 4 days enjoying Surfers & Broadbeach, using the Wyndham Surfers Paradise as our base. Great location to walk to all the eateries or jump on the tram to head north or south, Accommodation was clean, kitchen was great, the balcony a nice place to hang out..in the morning sun & the shower hot. A light breakfast was fine & the coffee great. What else do you need really?....We'll be back.

Last week my family and  I stayed at Wyndham on the 14th floor. It had amazing ocean views that was so perfect to wake up to in the mornings. It's not the exact center of Surfers Paradise wich is perfect as I didnt hear any of the noise when I had my doors open. The only complaint I have is I have bad anxiety issues. Because of this I ask to many questions at times just so I know everything and am prepared for everything. A few of the staff were, lets say dismissive, of my questions and some ev... Read more

Checked into room 504 6th August for three nights, checking out yesterday morning (Tuesday). The Wyndham is located near the Surfers Paradise tram station which makes moving around Broadbeach, Surfers Paradise, Cavill Ave for shopping, attractions and eateries very easy. The one bedroom apartment was generally clean, well furnished with a comfortable bed - nice views towards the seaside area and to Q1 just across the road. There wasn't much outside traffic noise or from nearby rooms - had a g... Read more

I booked this hotel well in advance for the Gold Coast marathon. On arrival we were bombarded by our 'resort host' with an aggressive sales pitch. When we politely declined and requested to go up to our room, the sales pitch intensified and the 'host' was incredibly rude. Cockroaches, a charge for pool towels etc. There are plenty of nice places to stay on the Gold Coast. This isn't one of them.

Our family of 5 spent the night in a two bedroom suite August 2014. We absolutely LOVED our stay! The suite was beautiful and very clean. Lots of space, loved the in-suite laundry. The pool was beautiful, was a little cold when we were there, but we are Canadian, so we could tough it out no problem! :) The location is great, lots of restaurants and stores within walking distance. Would definitely stay again!
