The hotel is located a shirt walk from the new Elisabeth Quay and in the central business district. As the city is small you walk almost everywhere within 15-20mins of the hotel. The hotel is old but has been well maintained and looks like it has been refitted not long ago. The rooms are clean and comfy and have a great selection of TV channels. Stayed here for 3 nights. Best part is the location. You can take a bus from airport to esplanade bus stop and walk from there to the hotel; takes 5-7 minutes. The hotel did not allow early checkin though. Hotel is also nearby to the places of interest; almost all places in CBD are walkable. Breakfast was good too.

I stayed four nights in the Parmelia, two for business and 2 with my wife. The hotel and restaurant staff were all amazing; from the door to the rooms they were Brilliant. Unfortunately one young lady at the desk was a little sarcastic so that soured my stay a little. Fortunately however with all others being so great it made up for it! The rooms were very clean, the restaurant food was amazing, even breakfast was good. Hint: If they haven't changed the compendium yet, weekend breakfast closes a... Read more

A friendly welcome greeted us at the Parmelia Hilton. We were provided with a room update on check in as promised and as this Hotel does not have a club we were provided with drink and food vouchers. All was going well. That is until about 7PM when a rumbling noise came from somewhere. We rang reception and asked if we were near a nightclub. No in fact it was a wedding in the 1st floor function rooms. Not to worry though it will finish at midnight Hmm. We just off the Indian Pacific thought we w... Read more

There was always a steady stream of cabs available out the front as well. The room I stayed in was reasonably well appointed and had a huge bathroom. Expensive hotel which doesn't come close to justify the price tag. I stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks on business and asked to have my room cleaned once-twice a week and not daily. I left the "do not disturb" sign for most days. The problem was that on the days I took it off, my room wasn't properly cleaned. My sheets were not changed (the same sheets were simply re-made and stretched to cover the bad). I returned one night with take out and asked for utensils from the front desk. I was told to... I would have to give this hotel a big thumbs up. The location is very central in Perth. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the ground level was excellent and the breakfast menu was fantastic. For people interested in physical fitness, there was an adequate gym with cardio machines, good selection of dumbbells and a cable gym set up (best I have seen in a while). If I were to share a negative, that would be the options with in-house movies and cable TV. The in-house movie... Read more

Had two nights in Perth on a leisure trip. Made very welcome and was recognised and a honours member. The only downside was there is no executive lounge - a minor issue. upgraded room (deluxe King) was large and comfortable - with a separate sitting area. Separate walking in robe as well! The breakfast was great - not to b missed. As mentioned the hotel is handy to the riverfront, Kings Park and central Perth. Great value for money, friendly staff and a real easy place to stay.

Due to travel agent booking mix up we ended up in a standard Queen Room. It was back-packer quality. arrived after long flight from Brisbane. The room must have been the furthermost from the lifts. Tucked in between training and maintenance rooms. The pool was outside. and all night could hear Air-con plus an extra thumping noise. Got very little sleep. Thank goodness it was only for one night. Spoke to staff in the morning about noise. Didn't seem interested. Not impressed - never again.

Hilton is famous for being hospitable and its true... Not only we got a welcome drink but even a welcome tapas! Very generous of them. Its such a pity that we didnt realised we had a complimentry breakfast till we checkout cos i am sure it will be just as good. Other notable is ther huge and comfy bed. Well, we got a suite so everything was great! (Interior Design can be updated and alittle more exciting though)

I have stayed at the Parmelia Hitlon on several occasions and the consistency of the service is always excellent. The bar has a great selection of wines, beers, cocktails and spirits. I am always impressed with the steak in the restaurant and the breakfast selection is second to none. The rooms are always clean, tidy, spacious with the most comfy beds. One of my favourite hotels to stay at.

The room didn't have a great view but it was clean, spacious and relaxing. The breakfast in the restaurant each morning had a range of food for all-comers, and fresh and well cooked. The staff were all attentive to their particular job and most helpful at all times. Highly recommend.

The Parmelia Hilton was a generation ago the leading 5 Star hotel in Perth. There is more competition these days and more on the way. It remains a comfortable 5 star property conveniently situated near to the business district and the convention center. However the cramped reception area and driveway and dated decor will place this hotel at a disadvantage when the Ritz Carlton, Westin and Intercontinental Open their doors shortly.
