I stayed at Jasper because I was attending a conference there, but it turned out to be a great choice - lovely modern room, wonderful breakfasts and fantastic service. Loved the standing shower, good bedside lights and enough easily accessible power points for all my devices.

I've used the Jasper a few times for Business Travel and I love it's connection with my purpose for staying. Well located, always easy access for cabs and really simple to 'get-in, get-out' of. Lot's of options for food nearby and if you have a morning exercise routine, the walking or running routes are fantastic. Also, the booking and checkout process is seamless, (one of my pet hates).

The hotel lived up to expectations with regards its location. The queen bed was very comfortable. The room was average - small - we paid for Queen Deluxe. There was an empty space for a lounge ? but nowhere to sit except the bed and one chair at the desk. Outlook onto rooftop of hotel was uninspiring. If you are going book above level 5. Great Indonesian restaurant doors away - The Sarawak and Spanish restaurant was great too - friendly and good for breakfast. Close to Victoria Markets and very ... Read more

Great for Vic Market lovers with tram stop just out front. Pity there was a lot of construction going on out the front but to the hotels credit - not much could be heard inside the room! Breakfast was awesome!

Friendly, Clean, Courteous, Organised. Everything was how it should be when travelling and staying in a Hotel. There are many places out there that NEED to take a page from the Jasper Hotel handbook! They've trained their staff well and the Management know how to manage and most importantly, know how to treat their guests - true Leaders!

We booked this hotel as it had a good rate in an area we hadnt stayed before. When we arrived they had upgraded us and it was a fabulous room. Heaps of space and very quiet. Room 214. The service was good and the breakfast, which was included, was fabulous.

We loved the jasper. Fast internet, close to free tram, fantastic coffee downstairs. The rooms were nice, bathrooms are large and modern. Right next to the market, so great food and mingling on weekends.

Our room was tidy and modern. It's a shame we didn't get to make use of the bar and restaurant. Good walking distance to the everything in CBD and trams outside of Melbourne. Right near Queen Victoria Markets. We will definitely be back!

The rooms are small but quite functional and clean. There was quite a lot of outside noise in the room however given its location its to be expected. If you are looking a a city location close to the QVM then this hotel is good. There is no parking available at the hotel

Although the room this stay was MUCH smaller than our stay last year, and we still don't know why, as always the location makes it a fantastic place to stay in Melbourne!! WE WILL BOOK BIGGER ROOM NEXT YEAR!! But definitely will return again!

Stayed here 4 nights in the Deluxe queen with wife. Location is just 2 minutes from Queen Victoria Market (right next door!), and there are many eateries (of good reviews) along the 5-minute-walk stretch from the hotel. Most places in central Melbourne are within walking distance, with Chinatown (Little Bourke Street) about 13 minutes walk away. Hotel is nice, functional and clean. The room we stayed in was spacious for two, with ample space for two big suitcases. The supplied toiletries were ni... Read more

Perfect location especially if you are on foot. Right on the door step of Queen Victoria Markets and a hop, skip and jump to downtown Melbourne!! A couple of worthwhile mentions - Melbourne Central is interesting and has atmosphere whether your there to shop or eat (check out picture). The other is El Ricon located at 69 Victoria Street at Queen Victoria Markets - an authentic Spanish Restaurant (Great Staff, food and location). Our room was located on the second floor, street side. It was... Read more

Very friendly and professional staff on all shifts I encountered. Rooms have been refurbished at some stage as some older decor still in place. Bed was comfortable. No noise from outside but I heard everything that was going on on my floor. Room could have done with a good clean with hair on my toilet, dust in all corners of room and bathroom. No view at all, although to be expected at hotels in this location. Pleased to get Qantas ff points. I might stay again.

The hotel was right next to a tram stop, across the road from a car park and a construction site, we were on the 5th floor and it was very noisy as the Windows weren't thick at all so we were woken up but the construction site and 6am and could hear traffic all night. The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable and the air conditioning was really noisy aswell and bathroom was small. The whole hotel had a strange smell in the lobby and the rooms.

My partner and I have just returned from a long weekend in Melbourne. We stayed at Jasper for two nights. We found the employees friendly & helpful. Location was fantastic with the Queen Victoria Markets conveniently located just next door and tram stop by the front doors leading into reception. Melbourne Central, Emporium and the Myer complex are an easy 10min stroll or 2min tram ride away. Our room on the second floor was small, but comfortable. We were at the rear of the complex so nois... Read more

I stayed in the Elizabeth street balcony room It was much smaller than the pictures on the web site indicated, and was a charmless concrete hole in the wall. If it weren‚??t for the balcony it would have felt very claustrophobic. There wasn‚??t even a comfortable place to sit, with just a desk chair to sit on and a shelf arrangement as a desk. There was a lot of construction going on across the street and lots of traffic noise. The housekeeping was slack coffee and tea etc not replenished on a ... Read more

I stayed 3 nights. It is hard to identify exactly what it is about the Jasper that left me feeling so underwhelmed. The staff were friendly. The room, though very small, was clean and adequate. The restaurant was not pretentious or over-priced. Room heating was not working - on a very cold night; yet this was repaired as soon as I mentioned it to staff. The location was convenient, as I was attending a conference at RMIT very close by. The room was very noisy. I presume double-glazing on windows... Read more
