We have recently stayed as friends-planned long time ago and making sure all things are ready when we arrive in the evening. Unfortunately the room wasn't ready and needed housekeeping again for requested setting. Additionally the bathroom needed another cleaning , because long black hair everywhere from the previous guests! Not a great start for the price of >300 AUD. Then the internet wasn't available for a time of >2 hours the next day and the staff was very nice to try and fix, but I couldn'... Read more

Recently spent 4 nights at this hotel. Staff were very polite and the hotel well located. Quite expensive room which over looked a dirty lane way and other buildings. Noise from laneways was intrusive and the outlook to other buildings within about 6 metres necessitated the blinds to be closed all the time. We didn't spend much time in the room but when we did, it was unpleasant to have to have windows and blinds shut. Bed was comfortable but room was a little 'tired' and probably overdue for a... I've spent a great deal of time in Melbourne over the years yet this is the first time I've stayed here. Well it won't be my last! This gorgeous old, yet impeccably maintained building is perfectly located near the flinders street station, restaurants, bars shopping and the hub of flinders lane. I was greeted by two of the friendliest and knowledgeable people who couldn't be more helpful. They create their own tea by mixing up a T2 'Lindrum' concoction that is simply divine and is at the fro... Read more

We stayed there for just a overnight stay, we got the King size studio. It's very clean and very nice room. The service was friendly. The issues I have I guess is it's fairly noisy to the traffic below. We were on the third floor (out of 4) and was surprised that it was so noisy. Our room face the car park beside and was pretty much a no window room due to car park literally beside. Which brings to the other issue. The hotel doesn't have its own carpal and utilises this multi level site for its... Read more

The Hotel Lindrum is an experience that just shouldnâ??t be missed if you are visiting Melbourne. Located in a perfect situation within walking distance of Federation Square and the wonderful National Gallery of Victoria, an easy amble to the restaurants and cafĂ©s in Flinders Lane, 1 minute from the free Circle Tram No. 35, and just across from the river, the Rod Laver Arena complex and the Melbourne Cricket Club ground. This is a great hotel in the center of Melbourne. I messed up the dates for the reservation and the stuff was very understanding and helpful with canceling the wrong dates with the agency. The rooms are very comfortable and great bed quality. I cannot fault any amenities. If you have the chance to get breakfast go for it , it was great with a nice menu selection. Also good for staying with family as its very close to the center and easily accessible.

I have stayed at the Lindrum on Business on numerous occasions yet this was a personal visit. They changed owners to Accor Hotels MGallery collection and I was concerned that it may have lost its personal touch. Not so - staff were friendly and attentive and the hotel atmosphere of a luxury small hotel has been maintained. I have a drinks in my room and ordered a Charcuterie plate from room service that was of a good quality except the leg ham had be substituted with Soccer Ball Ham. I didn't c... Read more

Great short stay at the Lindrum in Melbourne. The staff could not have been more attentive and friendly with a very helpful welcome. My room was very spacious, stylish and comfortable and the main hotel lobby/lounge area was very stylish. Overall a great change from the usual 4 or 5* properties. Will definitely stay again when next in Melbourne.

i stayed in this hotel in December 2015, when we arrived they gave us a nice room but the only problem was the view, we couldn't see anything only the car park.we asked for another room and they gave us a better one with a nice view. we only had breakfast here and it wasn't very good, because the food that was supposed to be hot was cold. the staff were very nice and friendly. good location.

Stayed here for two nights on a business trip. Very big room, huge bed and very good pillows. Shower was good and towels fluffy. Breakfast was plentiful and there was plenty of choice. Service was good. Wifi was free and fast. Would recommend staying here.

Great location and lovely and very comfortable rooms. note that you may not have fantastic view from each room ( some face car park over lane) so consider if you need to pay extra for that. I knew in advance and was more than happy.

Attentive service from staff made this a very enjoyable stay. I have sometimes found staff at large hotels with a reserved, professional attitude that can be a little intimidating. In contrast, our stay at the Lindrum was an absolute delight, the staff are to be commended on their genuine friendly attitude. So helpful and courteous.

Recently I stayed here with my brothers after a night at the football (MCG). It was easy to access and the staff were incredibly friendly. Unfortunately I missed the breakfast service (the food looked and smelled fantastic) but was lucky enough to spend some time in the bar enjoying select craft brews and fine local spirits. I look forward to another opportunity to stay here and soak in the experience. Don't miss out, I highly recommend the Hotel Lindrum for your next trip to Melbourne.

Our four night stay at the Lindrum was extremely comfortable. We found the location to be most central for our interests, walking, shopping and the excellent tram system etc. The front line staff were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfasts - top class for variety and quality. Would highly recommend.

The hotel was nice, but it's price-point is about the same as the Sofitel Melbourne but is nowhere near as impressive as the Sofitel. It's quite a humble little hotel from the foyer to the bedrooms and shows signs of wear (scuffs on walls, marks on carpet, etc). For $200+ per night, I'd normally expect a proper shower, rather than a shower-over-bath, but the bathroom was fairly small and basic. Likewise for such a pricey hotel, I'd expect a nice big TV (but it was fairly small). On the other han... Read more

A lovely historic hotel with an exceptional level of service. Our room was very good but....if you want to spend any amount of time there be aware that the outlook from the window is a multi story carpark. So no privacy unless blinds pulled and no natural light. Great restaurant.

One of the best hotels I've ever been too. Felt well looked after start to finish, everything was beautifully and tastefully decorated. Extremely cozy feel and delicious breakfast every morning. The staff were very friendly and helpful the best turn down service and every afternoon they brought sleepy time tea and cookies every afternoon. Will definitely be going back every time we are in Melbourne. The fluffy bathrobes were devine and the fire place, bar and music was perfect.

It's a nice location within CBD and the room was clean, complete with all amenities required. Plenty of good eateries nearby the hotel and staff is very friendly and helpful as they was checking if I need any extra info on the direction to a particular place since that was my first stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and families.

The Lindrum would have rated 5 stars if it were not for very slow service with cooked breakfast (half hour wait) and difficult to adjust shower temperature and pressure. My room was large, very comfortable and quiet. It was well equipped with seating and lighting is excellent. There's a turn-down service (not on Sunday) with 'sleeptight' tea and biscuits. Complementary newspaper to the room. Continental breakfast has a good range and food from the restaurant is delicious. Location almost opposit... Read more

Our initial experiences at the hotel were far from what you'd expect at a five star rated hotel. Our taxi dropped us off right out the front, but there was no bellman to meet us to welcome us to the hotel or take our bags ... rather we had to lug them up the stairs to the foyer of the hotel. After checking in, again no one offered to help us with our bags to the room. Of course, I'm totally fine to take my own bag, but at a five star hotel, you would expect the courtesy to be offered a hand. ... Read more

Breakfast very slow and things that were asked for were never received but the cooked breakfast was very good. The young ladies who looked after us were lovely and did there best as breakfast was very busy at that time. Our room 302, bathroom tiles / grout need a good clean as mould or dirt showing. From reading previous reviews, I knew that some rooms looked out on a car park or a wall, and some looked out across the river. I made sure to book the latter, and it was a really beautiful and well-designed room. The staff are young and some are more attentive than others. The public spaces are terrific. Breakfast was very good, and we were greeted with a plate of sweets in our room as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary with this trip. The hotel is very well situated for exploring the...
