Great breakfast, good location, attentive staff. Only downside was the noise of rubbish removal early each morning, but overall great accommodation. Handy to Chinatown restaurants and short walk to trams and buses.

I only made 1 request a quiet room high floor away from lift and got that without any problem. The front desk were helpful with directions for trams and buses. Above and beyond most budget level hotels. Location was great also next to Chinatown and close to my favorite Melbourne restaurants. WiFi was not functioning, my only complaint.

A good value option in a very central part of the Melbourne CBD. Close by access to shopping, restaurants, transport, and the MCG. Rooms were good but could do with a makeover. A great continental breakfast, but you will need to eat elsewhere if you want a hot breakfast.

Really helpful staff . Room was clean and tidy. Great location close to the theatre and China town. Unfortunately we had a room facing the laneway so quite a bit of noise with trucks reversing up and down laneway and rubbish being collected. Personally pillows were to firm for myself.

The Crossley Hotel was just as good as when we stayed there 25 years ago. Great location for theatre shows, restaurants, valet parking, quiet rooms, tea and coffee facilities and microwave, very clean bathrooms with essential products included. Staff magnificent in all areas of contact. Would definately stay again and recommend to friends.

We booked this based on other reviews. We got a very good price and figured we'd get one of those awful rooms next to the lift. Actually we were opposite the lift but the room was very quiet so no dramas. We requested a late checkout and that was no drama either. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great. Just a few blocks from the city centre, some fantastic little restaurants and coffee shops in the local area and of course right near all the theatres if that's your thin... Location was great for us as we were going to the theatre. It's close to a couple of theatres as well as Chinatown, Parliament, good eating places etc. The price was quite reasonable and the staff polite and helpful. The room was just right for the 2 of us. It was a little dated but very clean and neat. I didnā??t like the shower as it over a bath and I find getting in and out of these difficult. On a recent solo visit to Melbourne, my stay at the Crossley was a memorable experience. It is a convenient, comfortable and friendly hotel and I was able to access transport, theatre, sights and shops from this central location. Although small, the room was clean and all facilities were modern (the bathroom was very small). If I was visiting again, I would happily return. Good value!

I had stayed at the crossly hotel before. I stayed here again and it seems like the standard has dropped. The room is fine, temperature is a bit hard to control but the worse part was that the air con was so loud in the wee hours of the morning, we couldn't sleep. The breakfast was limited on hot options, mainly cereal, pastries, muffins. Bathroom was underwhelming. I don't think this hotel will be my first choice again, unless the deal is really good.

Mother and daughter stayed at the Crossley Hotel in Little Bourke Street, Melbourne for three nights. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was fine and the staff recommendations for nearby restaurants were good. The room was quiet though the air conditioning/heater needed some adjusting on our first night. Our bathroom had a shower over the bath which was OK. We would stay here again and will recommend to friends, rates are reasonable.

I have stayed there for 3 nights. Small hotel, kind and helpful personnel, nothing special for breakfast and 35 Australian dollars for parking overnight. Small rooms with low ceilings, with bad heating system(they fixed it after complaining). What is most irritating is the plugs in the room. We loved staying at the Crossley. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade to a penthouse suite, so we were totally sold on this Hotel. Booked as a Wotif mystery 4 star hotel in the theatre district. It was fine - an old property but reasonably well maintained. I was on first floor with a view of the wall of the neighbouring building (couldn't expect anything else at the rate I paid of $100). Bed a little firm but a great strong shower, good steam iron and plenty of power points. It has everything you need and service was friendly enough so while I might not book it directly I would be fine if it came up as the mystery hotel... Read more
