This is a cut above your usual serviced aparthotel. Very nicely put together, the bedroom is large with a comfortable bed and good storage, roomy living room with kitchenette (only microwave oven, no cooking facilities), plenty of cutlery and dinnerware. There is a washing machine but no dryer. The bathroom is great, with shower and bath tub. Service is very friendly and even though they are building at the front you couldn't hear a noise. Breakfast service is great, restaurant food not so good ... Read more

Just returned from a lovely 2 night stay at the RACV/T Hobart. I had chosen a balcony room with a spa, and on the top (8th floor) we were delighted with the view - albeit best when leaning over the balcony. The spa was a fun touch and the warm robes in the cupboard helpful for getting you there in cold winds. A highlight, aside from lovely bathroom products and T2 teas, was the service. Friendly at every turn, and we were thrilled to have the RACV electric car suggested at just $30 a day ($2... Read more

Normally we stay at Henry Jones in Hobart which is consistently excellant and well located at the wharf, but it was full.So wanting to try an RACV property we decided to give it a shot.On a members rate it was AUD160 for a King bedded room, with no breakfast, so reasonably priced. On arriving on Friday night from Melbourne it seemed every where we looked in the hotel, the renovators were at work.It seriously needs it but it's very disruptive. The rooms are pretty basic and nothing special at all.This... Bought the MONA package and couldn't be more pleased. We arrived earlier than normal check-in but, not a problem. Our room was ready, they rang and organised our MONA tickets and ferry transfers. The location meant just a short stroll to the port area. Breakfast was included with all the usual suspects. A throughly enjoyable 24hrs.

We stayed here for 4 nights over a 'long weekend'. The room was really lovely, lots of space good facilities and a nice modern bathroom with a big bath. The hotel is in a good location. Very central, within 10 minutes walk to pretty much everything. They were still doing building works during our stay but it honestly didn't affect us. The entrance and 'restaurant' however really lacks ambiance in its temporary home and eating breakfast there every morning was a little depressing. Breakfast (whic... Read more

I have never holidays on my own ever so this is all new to me. I arrived for check in about 2 hours early but was accommodated for. Reception staff were friendly when I did arrive. The renovations that have been mentioned on other reviews are really not that big of a deal, they barely affected me. The only way they did was the carpark - a fair few large Utes taking up a bit of from. The room itself was very good, bed was extremely comfortable, nice and tidy. TV quality was a bit basic, but I'... Read more

A friend and I stayed there for a week in February 2016. I wasn't aware that the hotel was undergoing renovations, so was a bit disappointed to discover this on arrival. The gym was closed and although an alternative was offered, an offsite gym doesn't have the same appeal. My only whinge is that there are steps to negotiate with your luggage. There was a luggage elevator thing - but it didn't appear to work. Check in was very smooth. I was very pleasantly surprised when I walked into my 1 be... Read more

A dull bland place with nil chartacter. Parking was critically lacking. There was construction work going on to build, as the hotel hording decribed, an "international lobby". Staff tried hard but could not overcome average decor of the whole place. For a specific problem, the shower door didn't close properly so all the water just runs down the inside of the door and straight onto the floor. It's this sort of stuff which just shouldn't happening in 2016 in Hobart.....should it?

They are undergoing some renovations so the outside looks like a construction site however I was amazed at the room. We got upgraded to an apartment on the 7th floor and the of Mt Wellington was absolutely priceless. The room was super clean and comfortable and very modern. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. I have stayed at a few places in Hobart and definitely will come back and stay here.

If you want free wifi, free parking (for members), excellent service and central location, this is the place you should stay while you are at Hobart. Great stay in city center. Nothing to complain about. Daily room service, good restaurant. Remember if you driving down, parking is behind the hotel. Also due to renovation, difficult to locate the entrance. So stop your car somewhere at Collins Street and you will see a renovation site and the entrance is just at the corner. Enjoy..

We stayed in an apartment room on the top floor with a balcony and water views (more a glimpse than a view). The room was great! Loved the size of the room and the fact that the bedroom had no window as we slept better and later than we normally do and isn't that the whole idea of a holiday? The bathroom was very spacious and only negative is that the hot water dribbles out of the tap. Not sure if this was a Hobart thing that there's no water pressure 8 floors up, or the hotel? Well located but if you have a car then use a map as the car park entrance is behind the hotel and up a narrow little street. Once you get to the car park its difficult to get into as theres only one lane in due to works. Very friendly staff but the foyer is a mess and the restaurant is a walkway for construction staff all weekend and all hours so the ambience is a challenge. I liked this hotel it was very clean, quiet and in a good location. There was no window in the bedroom in the room I stayed in so it was very dark in there unless you turned the light on, it felt like I was sleeping in a closet but I got used to it. My only complaint is the shower head was the size of a dinner plate and if your taller than about 5 feet tall you'll hit your head on it when you take a shower because it wasn't adjustable.

We recently spend one night at the hotel for a friends function at Salamanca Market. The hotel is conveniently located close to all of central Hobart's attractions, shops and restaurants. The free parking at the hotel was also very convenient. The room was spacious and very clean, with all amenities provided. Even though the room faced the road, there was no noise, and the windows were also fitted with length shutters.

Staff was extremely nice and accommodating!!! I had a number of requests (room change, special laundry service, activities booking and more) and they dealt with them all with a smile. Room(s) were big, clean and with all the amenities you might want. The use of All Aerobics Fitness gym was a great bonus. Liked this hotel a lot despite the renovation going on every day on the grand floor. Location is really good for business in town. Holidaymakers might want something closer to water.

We stayed in a king room on the 5th floor for 4 nights for a long weekend in Hobart. Initial impressions weren't great as there are no easily visible signs on Collins Street and no indication as to where the car park is so we had to circle the block several times to find that. Up and down stairs to get places and not enough car parks. Staff friendly and rooms comfortable. Restaurant in house is good quality and attentive.
