Palm Bungalows was a nice set up- kitchenette, studio bedroom with a modern style. The location was good- about a 7 minute walk to the marina (although there were uphills and downhills) and 3 minute walk to the tour planning area. Service was good- if you give them your flight info, they provide a golf cart to drive your bags from Reef View Hotel before and after your connection to the airport. Honestly, the food was overpriced and not very good on Hamilton Island, so it was good to have the ... Read more

Positives: - secluded and quiet - new bathrooms and kitchen facilities with all required amenities - buggy parking right outside each bungalow - air conditioned Negatives: - although quiet, we had screaming neighbours (can't help who you are put near!) - location may be a bit far for some people to walk to everything. We hired a buggy for the duration of our stay, which I strongly recommend... sooo much easier to get around! - our room wasn't cleaned one day, and for no apparent reason. Overall... Read more

We loved our bungalow with a resident wallaby between our bungalow and the one next door. It had everything needed, including fridge and the bathroom was wonderful. The bed was comfortable and the hammock on the front porch great fun. It is located in an area with lots of trees and it's like waking up in the jungle! Hamilton Island is very different, all walkable, free buses round the island and no cars only golf buggies. It is a resort with various forms of accommodation so not a castaway isla... Read more

Palm bungalows were convenient for us as we have an infant but I don't think you would want any more than a couple and a baby in them as it is a small space. Very basic kitchenette but would be ok for snacks. Clean and tidy, room is made up each day. No water view but quite pleasant leafy area. Very close to main resort areas, pools and beach and short walk to main strip with restaurants, shops etc

We stayed 4 nights at the Palm Bungalows for a family wedding, and it was exactly what we needed. The rooms are very spacious, and simple for what you need, including basic cooking facilities if you do feel the need to bring or prepare your own food. We were in the block 1-20 (21?), closest to the Reef View Hotel and it was very easy to get around to all the main attractions both in the beach side and by the Marina. Other members off our family travelled with 2 small children 2 & 5 yr old, and t... Read more

The bungalows are perfect for couples looking for a bit of privacy. Clean and serviced everyday. There is a hammock on the verandah also. I have stayed at the reef view before and even though you have a nice ocean view, I definitely prefer the bungalows. I noticed our bungalow had a lot more privacy than the ones in front of us or the ones from 1-20. If it helps I know bungalow 40 - 49 are quiet and away from the pool area and from anybody walking past so maybe request one of those! Beautiful t... Read more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here in November and had a great time. The bungalows are perfect for what we wanted, advice would be to book things in advance to avoid disappointment. One improvement would be for the staff to keep things more tidy and cleaner, they weren't quick at clearing tables and then that causes issues with the birds! Catseye beach is great we had a lot of fun hiring out all the equipment. Also all the restaurants were amazing, I would highly recommend Boomies we had the best ... Read more

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights and loved our bungalow. The facilities were great. Lots of room. Clean. Quiet location. Wallabys in the front garden and breakfast with the Koalas......what more could you want! The main reception were very helpful with booking excursions. The restaurants were all great and we would definitely recommend the Palm Bungalows to anyone wanting to visit the Great Barrier Reef.

I stayed with my husband at the Palm Bungalows for 2 nights in December 2016. I should be clear from the outset that Hamilton Island as a whole was really not for us - it felt like a holiday camp for the rich, over-commercial and totally lacking in culture. But if you like having everything on your doorstep then I guess it might be for you! The Palm Bungalows themselves are lovely. We were so glad we choose here over the nearby high-rise Reef View Hotel. The room was clean & tidy, and felt ... Read more

We stayed two nights on Hamilton Island at the Palm Bungalows as part of a 'bucket list' tour of Australia and found them to be ideally suited for our brief stay. Our bungalow had a decent sized bedroom, comfortable bed, quiet air conditioning and an excellent shower and felt calm and tranquil next to the bustle of the adjacent huge Reef View Hotel. The beautiful Catseye Beach is nearby with the marina being a bit further away over a short brute of a hill and very nice but expensive restaurants... Read more
