This hotel feels like a real oasis in the CBD. The pool area is a great place to relax but it is let down by the bar service as it is often unattended with staff doing other duties. Having stayed in Darwin on numerous occasions, I would say this is the best accommodation available in terms of value for money.

We are now regulars because the experience gas always been enjoyable due to the quality of the rooms and the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. The pool areas are amongst the best available. If only tripadvisor could get my details amended to be correct. They keep sending me details of flights out of Adelaide even though I live in Melbourne.

Service was great, staff very helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was in a great location, close to everything. The breakfast was very good and the pool area was lovely, a real tropical feel. Only a couple of minor issues, the clothes dryer did not dry the clothes and the wi-fi did not work and the limit is 100mb per stay not per day, this was a bit disappointing. Overall was very happy with the experience.

The Travelodge is near the town centre, but it is walkable (half an hour or so) to the waterfront. It has a nice secluded feel, comfortable spacious rooms, and a lovely pool. Very good value, and excellent helpful staff. Recommended, especially for those on a budget. Sister operation to the Vibe on the Waterfront.

This was a last minute booking. The location of the Travelodge is awesome. You have Woolworth's across the road, and the main street Mitchell Street, is only a couple of blocks away (in saying that, I still wouldn't walk to the hotel by myself at night time). The pool at the hotel was lovely; I don't think the spa's worked though. If you dont want an alcoholic drink from the pool bar (for those recovery days), you only have the option of Pepsi, so I suggest you take your own drink. The rooms wer... Read more

Very good hotel for the price. Remember to check the floor you are on if you are not good with stairs. We were allocated a room on the second floor of one block and there is no lift. The hotel itself is very clean and the two pools are just right for a relaxing stay.

Stayed at the Travelodge in May in a townhouse at a corporate rate of $230 a night. The townhouse had a lounge / kitchen area with an upstairs bed and bathroom. Kitchen is basic at best ‚?? no much of anything. Note ‚?? a coffee cup would be nice as opposed to just 2 old mugs. Entire townhouse is very o... Read more

The price for a basic room was pretty high, however the inclusion of breakfast, it's close proximity to the city and the beautiful pool area made up for it. The showers in the room were terrible, but it was air conditioned and mostly clean so it was ok. Buffet breakfast was average, the pool bar was a bit weird and attracted some interesting clientele and the music they played throughout the whole place seems not to have been updated since1992. What made it all worthwhile was the daily swim in t... Read more

Staff Staff were very friendly and helpful (bar one - an exception!). Fantastic service. Our fridge leaked on the first day - they replaced it. We asked for extra towels - no problem. We had an extra hour between checkout time and leaving for the airport - they checked the bookings and said you know what, just keep your room an extra hour. Cleanliness Flat serviced every day including the public holiday, and really well - they even did our washing up a couple of times! Condition of flat ... Read more

First up, the guys at the desk were not welcoming, grumpy even, a smile would have been nice or something that at least would make me feel welcome. The room was average, two single beds pushed together to make a KING, not good. The bar fridge was on its lowest setting and the water pressure in the shower was a joke. Typical things motels do to save a bit of money. At $220 a night I want a cold fridge and mega pressure in the shower, especially after a long day in the sun working. The carpet h... Read more

Stayed in a townhouse. Large but very basic. TVs did not work very well. Constant problems with remotes etc. Room and hotel surroundings did not feel very clean. Verandas not swept and mopped regularly by the looks of things. Pillow cases very rumpled, hidden behind a large orange cushion. Poor attention to detail. Free internet is ok, but runs out quickly (100mb per 24 hours).

Rooms are average but the outdoor setting with a nice pool and restaurant is quite good. Well located in the city, and quite reasonably priced, it is an option for a shorter stay. Can be noisy at night, request an out of the way room is a tip. As said reasonable value for money in Darwin.

The hotel is situated well, it is in the city close to a lot of restaurants, shops and a supermarket. The pool is lovely and relaxing to sit around, (with a bar that you can get assorted drinks at). The restaurant looked nice but I didn't eat here as they had nothing vegan on the menu but there are plenty of places to eat nearby. The townhouse we had was old and dated. It is in need of a re-vamp. We couldn't even open the veranda doors as they were old and stuck. It was still comfy, with a kit... Read more

I got to know the last two staff members you had on at the front(nick then Melissa) who were both great. I feel the restaurant has slipped a bit.
