Overall, it was a good experience. However, the following things let it down a little: - Breakfast on offer in the executive room was a little lacklustre (hard poached eggs that appeared microwaved) - I object to paying >300/night then having to pay almost $20 for a movie (I know this is standard in hotels, but it's ridiculous) - Check out was painful as there was a big group of people checking in and there was little assistance initially to allow me to get moving - There was no information in ... It was a pleasure to stay in a hotel where everything was clean and modern, everything worked, the food was good and the staff were helpful and friendly. The gym and pool were an added bonus. The central location of the hotel made everything in the Darwin CBD easily accessible, and any noise which would typically be expected in a CBD location was not heard in the room, allowing for a peaceful sleep experience.

This hotel had numerous names and personas in the years past, however the Hilton group has taken it's name and branded an old lady with a new lease of life. As far as the hotel inside and outside is just an iconic Darwin building. The service and the little extras makes this venue, as does the view from some rooms.

I was here for 4 nights. The hotel was not new yet the lobby was fresh and welcoming with ice tea at the reception counter during check- in. The room was spacious with ocean view with all necessary anointments. The large TV screen was an extra modern touch. The overall service was good. There are 2 limitations I experienced as a guest: 1. The pool was small 2. The restaurant for breakfast normally would open at 6am but was closed until 7 on 2 consecutive mornings as both were holidays. It was ... Read more

Beautiful hotel, but, the room we were given had not been cleaned. The room was stuffy and smelt. Bathroom sink still full and with shaved hair. We were promptly moved which was great. The food in the executive lounge was minimal compared to other Hiltons and other hotel brands that we have stayed. Minimal variety of food items. Sandwiches were dried out. At times no food available at all. Service staff were very attentive and helpful. Great location in the centre of Darwin. $25 cab ride to the ... Read more

I always stay at the Hilton when I travel to Darwin. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are air conditioned and comfortable (especially important during the wet season) and the location is fantastic. Right in the heart of all the action and a short walk to the waterfront.

We stayed in this motel for almost a week and were very impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. The room was clean and nice. The view from our window on the 10th floor was lovely but best of all was the pool on the 10th floor. Also worth a mention is the fantastic FREE breakfast. What a magnificent smorgasbord! It was hard to leave the dining room, I could have gladly sat there all day.

We stayed two nights at the Hilton, one night before going on a five day tour to Kakadu and one night when we returned after the tour. The hotel was well located in the centre of town just near Crocosaurus Cove. The hotel allowed us to leave our suitcases there while on our tour which was extremely helpful. As we had a lot of luggage they gave us one of the rooms with an extra alcove area that made it a lot easier to fit everything. Overall I found the service to be excellent. Buffet breakfast w... This hotel is centrally located but a little tired. Rooms are nice enough but there is a slight musty smell (to the whole hotel actually). The breakfast offering is uninspired but acceptable. The Club Lounge is pretty bad (small and not well appointed). Ok for a few nights in business but probably wouldn't stay here with the family.

The rooms are outdated and need a complete overhaul. I was put into a room with bathroom where, when taking a shower, floods the entire bathroom. Breakfast service is terrible, disorganized, although quality of food is fine. I asked for a Cappuchino and was told that it would take 15 to 20 minutes to make. Reception is polite and efficient as long as there are not many people checking in or out. It is certainly not a Hilton of international standard.

The Darwin Hilton is very well located on Mitchell street. You can walk to all the main businesses from the hotel. It is not the biggest Hilton, but surely provides the efficient service that you may expect. The rooms are sylish but a bit cold as they are mainly in grey colours.
