The view from our 16th floor room was spectacular, right to Glenelg Beach and the Southern Ocean. This centrally located hotel is situated across the road from the tram stop to Glenelg, a pleasant 20-minute ride away. Access to the Executive Lounge was an extra privilege, with its canapes and drinks bar, and good service. While the room was a little small, it had all the facilities expected of a first-class hotel.

As expected a great Hilton experience here - stay for business on every trip, great rooms, good location, good staff. Nice bar in foyer and great morning coffee on the way out to work. The rooms are also spacious compared to other Hilton's (eg Sydney)

As a Hilton Diamond member I was expecting the quality of a Hilton, and I got mostly that. The room was clean and tidy; the hotel staff very helpful. However as it was very winy with a low moving across Adelaide the south facing room had whistling windows. This made it very difficult to sleep. I know I wasn't alone, as other guests complained about the same thing. I can't fault the accommodation or reception staff as they were nice.

* We looked forward to our first stay as a family at the Adelaide Hilton and cannot recommend it highly enough. The booking system was a little over the top and resulted in a glitch at reception. Fortunately though, we encountered a customer service STAR in Shannon who addressed our issue smoothly, professionally and very much to our satisfaction. This was followed up the next day by a lovely birthday card and gift to our daughter who was with us. Shannon, you made a significant difference to ou... Read more

Breakfast very good but juices were not fresh. Internet speed super fast. Recommend city view room. I give this hotel 4.5 stars easily.

Our tgird time in Adelaide ... this time without the kids. The Hilton was situated in a great location, as we needed to go the Adelaide hills for a 40th during the day and out in the city for dinner that night. The bonus was a free room upgrade - which was surprising... but delightful - we took that of course. It made for an overall relaxed experience visiting Adelaide this time.

We first stayed at the Adelaide Hilton a few years after it was completed. Back then it was the newest and for most aspects best hotel in the city. 30 years is a long time between visits when we recently renewed our acquaintance. Stepping into the lobby was like going back in time - the foyer looks just as it did in the 1980's. There have been a few cosmetic changes but overall a nicely functional area. Reception staff were helpful and we had no issues with the booking (now via internet whic... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights and each night I felt welcome. As a diamond member I really felt that they appreciated my loyalty, which is increasing hard to find at other Hiltons, except Melbourne Southbank. The rooms are reasonable and while a little tired, still good, clean and quiet. The executive lounge is spacious and the staff just fantastic. I'm not a big fan of the Hilton chain. There, I've said it. Read on with that in mind. I spent two weekend nights (Friday and Saturday) on a family visit with my partner at the Hilton on Victoria Square in the centre of Adelaide, South Australia. This hotel has resonances for me. When I lived in Adelaide, its arrival in the early 80's (I think) meant that my home town had made it in the sophistication stakes. Great hotel - always is with the Hilton. The location is what sold us, and also the value for money. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Adelaide. The only thing we would suggest is that there were additional blankets due to the temperature at our time of stay (winter) and we weren't big on the heating option.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton Adelaide for four nights to celebrate a 50th birthday. We were very well looked after by the hotel and enjoyed the experience immensely. The Hilton while it lives up to it's 5 star rating, we found that it does fall down on providing that personal touch. We were another couple amongst a sea of people.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Hilton. The first time was 5 years ago and then as now i was visiting Adelaide for medical purposes. Timing prevented me from enjoying the meals there. Stayed on the executive floor for 5 nights, for my girlfriends birthday. The executive lounge was good, I always recommend paying extra to stay on an executive floor, there good value if you enjoy a drink and canapés in the evening + you always stay on a high level to. You also have the option of having breakfast in the lounge. The hotel itself was good no complaints. Location I thought was great tram and taxis at your front door, and plenty of great restaurants nearby.

Decent service and plenty of bling in the lobby - fortunately the rooms aren't so bling but a well designed with a decent aesthetic. Typical of this type of hotel though is the dreaded cheap-as to remote and the low def or standard def tv. The Adelaide Hilton delivers on expectations of the Hilton chain, service is prompt and friendly, there are some great in house bars and the rooms are comfortable and as expected. The Adelaide Hilton is well situated on the edge of the CBD and walking distance to most Corporate locations. Is is also just around the corner from Gouger Street probably Adelaide's premier restaurant boulevard.

Have been staying here for a couple of years now, great hotel, location and facilities. What makes it great however are the people, the greeting at the door as you leave the cab or car, the check in, service etc etc. Also often get a really good rate that is by far the best in the city. I have stayed on more expensive hotels in the city and the experience is never as good or simple.

Well located with all the bells and whistles of an upmarket hotel that you would expect. Breakfast was great - egg station and a juice bar were fab. There was a let down with my room service dinner - I ordered the salmon and it was way over cooked and dry. Like it had been sitting around for a while and then reheated. You expect more from a restaurant room service from a top end hotel. Loved though that I could order from an excellent selection oflocal SA wines by the glass!

We arrived Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was closed. Nothing open nearby. The concierge just looked bemused that we would want to eat. Weird service was a constant theme. They also thought it was perfectly acceptable to host a v noisy, drunk wedding in the lobby. Yuck. Avoid if possible.

Not sure if it is one of the best hotels in Adelaide - maybe not - but I have been staying at Hilton Adelaide for the last three years almost monthly. Perfect location, has a reasonable gym, sauna and spa whilst the outdoor pool will allow city center views. The hotel restaurant has good quality food and a decent South Australian wine list. Collins Bar stays open until late and is useful when the weather would prevent you from venturing too far.

If i was to try to find a more centrally located hotel in Adelaide i would fail - just off of Victoria Square, around the corner from the Market, 2 blocks from China Town, a 10 minute walk to the Botanical Gardens, the train station, etc. This Hilton is a hit! Attractive foyer, excellent bar and probably the best breakfast in the city - so why not 5 stars? Just misses the mark of a classic 5 star as the rooms are a bit small for that rating but i give it a "High 4" and probably the best Hilto... Read more

Got a reasonable room and access to Exec Lounge due to Hilton Card. We decided to have breakfast in the main restaurant on the first morning and we're very disappointed - looking for smoked salmon I ycouldn't find any and then saw a chef making up some special breakfasts with a plate of it, I asked for some which he willingly provided and it was then whisked away under the counter again. But the big disappointment was the coffee, we asked for a Cappuccino and a black coffee to be told, in a rath... Read more

Lovely stay at the Adelaide Hilton. The staff are amazing which makes up for the tiredness of the room. Breakfast excellent, Exec Lounge awesome, too. Highly recommend for a business trip as great location and quiet, too.

I traveled from the U.S. and often encounter uncomfortable beds and bedding. But the Hilton Adelaide had a comfortable bed, it was clean and had a friendly staff. Stayed for 9 days with no issues- will stay again!

Spent two nights to visit Barossa Valley. The location of the hotel was great. Many good restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel is a bit old and the bathroom as outdated, but the room was spacious and kept very clean. The view from the room was nice. Staffs were very friendly as well. The only issue we had was that high-pitch noise came from the ceiling speaker around 3 am in the morning of the second night, kept beeping for more than 10 minutes and that made us completely awake... Stayed here for a girls weekend in the city. The staff were really friendly, our room service requests were delivered fast and delicious! Was even able to get a comb bought up with in a matter of minutes. The room was very outdated the view was amazing. The beds were amazingly comfortable along with the pillows! Enailing to find out the brand! Lol. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again.

We were given a free upgrade to an Executive room. The room is a little dated but very well maintained and the bathroom well presented. The king size bed was very comfortable and the feather pillows gave us a great night's sleep. There is a tram stop just across the street that will get you down to Glenelg , the hotel is close to the Central Markets and the restaurant district in Gouger St. It's also a short tram ride to Rundle Mall (shops) & North Terrace (Gallery & Museum). This was the second time I've stayed at the Adelaide Hilton since mid 2015, when the hotel was undergoing some kind of refurbishment. The dining/bar area on the ground floor looks better, but I couldn't see much improvement elsewhere. I stayed in one of the entry-level rooms that's still sporting bathroom tiles from the 1980s, I can deal with that; the room was cheap anyway. What I couldn't deal with were the uncomfortable bed, rice-sack pillows and dearth of power points to charge devices. Even... Read more

it was such a mixed bag staying at this hotel. I arrived in my room and it was very cold. I tried to turn off the airconditioning and couldn't. So they sent a technician and he told me it was a design fault and showed me the quirk needed to turn it off and also told me that only some of the rooms had this strange system (where you need a technician's help to turn off the airconditioning). My first night there I'd requested a quiet room due to having arrived after a lot of travel and instead thro... Read more

We only had one night in Adelaide before heading to the Barossa. The Hilton has big rooms, comfortable bed and pillows ...and. a bath to soak in. You can't go wrong. We happened to get a l at 30% off. Request a high floor.... Not that it's very high.

Most of the things as expected for Hilton hotel. An older building, next to Victoria Square, so pretty much central in Adelaide. Breakfast overpriced for the choices they offer, although one can choose some cheaper option like cereals, continental, etc as well. Still not worth the money. There is a heated pool and a gym with basic equipment. Some 20 min taxi driver to airport. Decent internet. If the price for the night is right, OK place to stay.

I was checked into a room with a bad, smokey smell, so called and asked to be switched. Turns out they were busy- so checked me into a smokers room- very unpleasant (side note: can't believe these rooms still exist). I've now been moved to another room with a fridge that doesn't work, and the decor/furniture is all very tired. I'm not usually one to complain- but at the prices they charge I'm sure there are better options in Adelaide!

I travel a lot and usually book into Hilton Hotels because you can expect a certain standard. The Adelaide Hilton did not disappoint. I had a big executive room with a good view. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were genuinely friendly and not just playing lip service to the service concept. I liked the pool area and the gym area was adequate. I guess my only negative comment would be the lack of choice on the room service menu and the pretty steep additional charges for breakfast. Overa... Read more

rooms are average. they are clean. soaps and shampoos are awful, bring your own! the gym is incredibly small, the pool is not heated in winter, and the tennis court needs maintenance. Also, the hotel won't turn on the lights for the tennis court, so it's impossible to play at night in winter. I'm told they won't take reservation for the court either - asking for conflict. the lounge is OK. right in front of the Victoria square tram stop. it is not the quality one would expect when paying that ki... Stayed at the Hilton Adelaide for business, the room and hotel were great and would recommend, however the noise from fire engines as song by on the street below was insane. The hotel is near the city fire station and there were call outs all night. I would recommend stay at the hotel but take ear plugs.

I stayed at the Hilton Adelaide for the first time a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be more pleased with my choice. I used HH points for the room, and since the additional points needed for the executive level room versus a standard room was minimal, I opted for the upgrade and I have no regrets. The room was quiet and comfortable, with a lovely view over the square. The executive lounge staff were exceptional, and I had no complaints with the food and beverage offerings at both breakfast and in ... Read more

I travel a bit and this hotel is perfunctory with a few of the old legacies left to reminisce around.....it's a shame its lost its edge. The lackadaisical attitude begins at reception.....and the lounge is ok but closes 8.30pm unless I'm mistaken. The lounge staff are polite. My room 1323 had a wonderful drawing in pencil on the roof? Not sure why........bring back the sparkle!

We arrived at the hotel, after a horrendous flight with Virgin, around 11pm. There was no Concierge to meet us, we went to the Reception desk and there was no staff there either. We waited for a short while and then I called out 'hello' and a very disheveled girl appeared from out the back. We asked if there was any concierge and we were told they were parking cars. Luckily we had already checked ourselves in as the key was virtually thrown at us, no direction to the lifts, no information of any... Read more

I stay at the Hilton Adelaide 4-5 times per year. The service is always reliable and efficient. This trip was for personal reasons and as always, was a hassle free experience. As a Hilton Diamond member, I was upgraded to a Junior Suite but to be honest, would have preferred the standard room. I've stayed in one of the suites before and they are very dated and have the furniture all up against the walls with no art work or colour to break it up. The Executive Rooms are a safer bet and much more... Read more

Had a wonderful stay at Hilton Adelaide recently. Would highly recommend that you upgrade to Executive Floors/ Suites as the Exectuive Floor Lounge is a great place to umwind and has great facilities. We had outstanding service from Gino at Reception along with Mark & Carlos in Coal Restaurant which made our stay just that more pleasurable. A great location with tram out the front FOC to city is on a winner! Great Hotel!
