Great place to stay, rates were great and the rooms had everything you need. In the CBD close to the stuff I wanted to look - very quiet at night so no trouble sleeping. I walk a lot when I go somewhere so at day spent walking I was able to visit the Art Gallery, Uni of Adelaide Barr Smith Library. Food around the area was good with lots of budget places. Public transport was easy to use and well priced. Pubs around the place are great, friendly drinkers.

Modern large room. Immaculate bathroom. There was a safe in the room. Slightly away from the main streets but still close enough to walk into the city centre but if feeling lazy you can always catch the free bus which was only about 200 metres away. Service was excellent, on my last night they were quite happy to prepare a breakfast snack for me to take away as I was leaving very early.

Even local friends didn't know this hotel. Behind a beautiful facade lurks a modern hotel. Very comfortable rooms with high ceilings. Good value rates. Loath to write about this place in case it becomes too popular. The staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble. Towards the end of the stay I moved to a smaller room. The housemaid moved my food/wine into the fridge in the new room and my clothes to the new wardrobe. The reception staff were friendly and very professional. ... Read more

Had a change of bookings (my fault) and Trang fixed everything up, no problems. A terrific room with a view and immaculate with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Loved our stay and would recommend without hesitation. Staff were excellent and the hotel was well set out with shared kitchens and laundry to boot.

This hotel is okay but not what you might expect from a "4 star boutique hotel". It began life as a Boys Institute, had several iterations as a sports location and as Government offices. Not surprisingly then its a rabbit warren - with nothing quite where you would expect it (e.g. the lift). The floors are set-up for long stay guests with a large shared kitchen on each floor. The rooms also have a generous amount of storage space (again more useful for a long stay). Room service comes from a... Read more

There is something so generic about hotels, so when you find one that feels a bit different, it's nice. All as was expected, bed very comfy... Friendly service, and really handy location for walking round the city, in particular heading to the markets. For the price, a great option.

I had a late check-in and fortunately I had a warm welcome. Room was spacious, convenient location and the staff were helpful. Could not fault it. I took the shuttle bus outside the airport which costed $5.20. Return was $3.30 off peak. In the night you have to get off at Currie Street & King William intersection get across the road to your right and take bus 224, does not take you direct to the hotel though, have to walk 10 minutes.

Here is a hotel that is an average experience. Rooms are ok the first room we were in had an aircon that did not work so we were moved. This room had a better one but we had to call the reception a few times to get it kickstarted for some reason. rooms are clean and quiet. What annoyed me was that when we asked to organise a late checkout at 5 pm we were told to pay %80 of the room rate. Well I am a frequent traveler and the common practice is to charge %50 which I was happy to pay. A little ann... Read more

Adabco Boutique Hotel is a beautiful and welcoming hotel in Adelaide, Set in a beautiful old building with high ceilings the room was large and comfortable. It was a cold night and a heavy extra blanket in the room made for a very warm and pleasant stay.

This is a great little hotel just around the corner from the Hutt Street food and wine strip. It doesn't have a restaurant or bar but doesn't need one given its location. They do a continental breakfast for $10 (yes ten dollars) if you need it. The rooms are small but well equipped and with decent hanging space. The bathroom is "cosy", to be kind and the shower stall very much so! BUT the all important bed and pillows are five star for comfort. The room rate is ridiculously reasonable and the st... Read more

One of Adelaide's best-kept secrets, this friendly smaller hotel was the perfect place for a few days break. The room was warm and the bed comfortable and everything worked fine. There is a restaurant for breakfast, a lounge with complimentary computers (plus free WiFi) and a kitchen/dining area where we prepared our own meals. There cost is very reasonable for what you get. My only negative comment is that the room-service dinner (supplied by a local restaurant) was below par.

Location - just at the edge of town. Within walking distance from the city. The hotel - converted old hostel with rustic feel and a touch of modern design and applications. Interestingly saw that it also offers long term stay - hence they have kitchen on every floor and a guest laundry on the ground floor! The room - quiet, cosy large, powerful shower and good range of amenities. Cosy bed and surprisingly quiet too! Food - good variety around the hotel along hutt street. Lots of places opens... We were recommended to stay by our travel agent and what a great choice it turned out to be. The building is a unique blend of old and new with comfortable and stylish rooms. The reception staff were especially helpful and friendly. A most delightful stay.

This is a centrally located five stars boutique hotel with very reasonable price. I really enjoyed my 2 nights stay here. The whole hotel is very clean and smells really nice. The room is really spacious with comfortable bed and pillows for great night sleep. There is big kitchen in 2nd and 3rd floor for guest to use, fabolous. The whole hotel decorated with beautiful paintings along corridor and in the room.

Loved this hotel, it was warm and cosy and the staff were lovely. The rooms were clean and tidy and quite spacious. The young female who greeted me when I checked in also helped me to my room with my luggage. She was so nice and funny. The only bad thing I have to mention is my room key card didn't work on three occasions. Staff were quick to let me in and we soon got it working - would definitely stay again as its close to the hospital.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Adabco. Conveniently located with a short walk to the wonderful Central Market and CBD shops, this small boutique hotel has everything you could wish for. Deco style, tastefully furnished, with a lovely foyer and adjacent guest lounge, comfortable, quiet rooms and very friendly staff. Well priced, with a good continental breakfast, this is a real gem. There is even a well equipped kitchen with microwave for guests who prefer to eat in. I wouldn't cons... Read more

This boutique hotel is conveniently located in the CBD - close to local shops and the ever popular central market. The modern decor was tasteful with guests spoilt with plenty of space to relax and rewind. There's also a full kitchen for guests to use if you prefer to make your own gourmet meals. Our room was modern and clean while the staff were friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended!

The Adabco ticks all of the boxes. It has great staff that are polite and helpful at all times, it is not pretentious and the rooms are well laid out. Everything was easy rather than hard from checkin to leaving luggage for storage. It is also only a short walk to Hutt St for a number of good restaurants and an IGA and a 10 minute walk to the heart of the CBD. The breakfast is a very basic continental breakfast for an extra $10 and a walk to Hutt St for breakfast would be a better option.

I was in Adelaide for a single night and needed an inexpensive option. The Adabco is certainly excellent value for money, but by no means ‚??cheap‚??. I can see why it consistently gets great reviews and quite frankly, I can‚??t see why they are inundated with guests, because the provide an excellent overall experience. I booked on line, but was not required to make payment until checking out. The reception is area is lovely and open and warm, with friendly staff. Directly opposite is a lov... Read more

My second time here and am still blown away by the value of this place. Spacious rooms, kitchen facilities, pretty artwork and a gorgeous building, about ten mins walk to the cbd. I don't understand why it's so well priced but hopefully it stays that way. Definitely recommend it.

I didn't actually end up staying as my flight was cancelled and I never made it. Despite the fact that I had bought a super cheap deal on booking.com, the manager agreed to refund my stay. She really didn't have to do this, and I really appreciated it. Will definitely go stay next time I am in town!
