Our room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. Our request for extra towels and hangers was promptly fulfilled. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. We love the birds which have lived at the Hyatt for years as well as the black swans. We ate dinner and breakfast a few times at the hotel and the food was good but pricey and br... Read more

Recently we were contemplating a 5th trip back to Aruba. I use a wheelchair and need to have an ADA/mobility/wheelchair accessible room. I travel about 60% of the time for my job and use 4 weeks of my 6 weeks vacation for personal travel. All to say, I've been doing this for years and consider myself well-versed in accessible rooms and destinations. I contacted the Hyatt in Aruba as I understood they were going to or recently had renovated their property and trust the Hyatt brand. I asked t... Read more

Fantastic stay at the Hyatt Regency and received the service that we have become accustomed to from this brand. Beautiful pool/oceanview room on the 7th fl. Well appointed rooms. Two suggestions would be to have the phone in the middle of the two queen beds to make it easy for all to reach and to include bottled water in the rooms (included in my recent stay at Grand Hyatt and I thought it was an excellent amenity) or at least ensure fruit-laced water in lobby is replenished throughout the day. ... I took my girlfriend to this hotel for an overdue vacation. I've stayed here before and the experience is always the same. In a word, "GREAT!" Although the Hyatt is not the newest hotel, or fanciest, it has the perfect mix of panache. The decor is tasteful, the food is top notch, and the staff will accommodate you any way they can. This was my first time in Aruba. The hotel has a great location with direct beach access. The rooms are nice, but slightly dated and need some fresh paint and flooring. I had a room with ocean and pool view, A MUST! The pool was great with a large water slide and 3 different levels. The best part of the pool is the swim up bar where you can get both great drinks and food. The only down side that I found at this hotel was the casino. Let me start by saying this resort is visually stunning. From the lobby to the pool the views are amazing. The drive from the airport was only 10 minutes or so. Not bad at all. Took us a little longer due to stopping at the market for snacks. Check in was smooth. The front desk clerk was gracious enough to give us a free upgrade in order to put our room close to our friends we were traveling with. The rooms were nice. Clean. Modern. Great bathroom lighting which is a big deal for me. The r... Read more

This was by far the nicest hotel in this sector of Aruba. A standard room is more than fine. no need to upgrade. try to get free breakfast included (we did) as it is very expensive. For coffee and donut lovers, there is a duncan donuts just a short walk on the beach to the right. the beach has all the standard amenities a Hyatt normally offers, and there is a beach sports rental on the beach. We rented a Hobbie for the day and it was gusting 25 knots of wind, capsized once but that is part of ... Read more

Very nice grounds and rooms. Management not responsive to issues raised about behavior by large group at beach. Lots of other guests complained but nothing was done. Families with kids were subject to loud, vulgar language. (Most of the vulgarities came from the groups' teenagers, who obviously are products of their trash parents. Group gave New Yorkers a very bad image.) They let their litter fly all over the beach and put their cigarettes out in the sand. Other guests shouldn't have to put up ... Read more

When we first arrived in Aruba we were a bit nervous, as the ride from the airport isn't very impressive. There were also some really rundown areas, and hotels that looked like they needed a lot of updating. When we got out of the bus and walked into the lobby of the Hyatt we were instantly relieved. If first impressions count, the view from the open air lobby was enough to convince us that we had made the right choice. The grounds at the Hyatt are absolutely gorgeous and very well kept. The Hyatt is centrally located therefore most everything is within walking distance. Had a hard time deciding between they Hyatt and the Marriott. Probably can't go wrong with either. This resort is incredible. I had no problem finding a spot on the beach or the pool and I didn't wake up early and reserve. The casino is great, even though I lost, I had fun! The only negative is I stayed on the club level, which had an amazing view, but the food wasn't typical of club level. I have stayed at other Hyatt club levels and I felt disappointed in this one. The hotel is very well kept and service was reasonably good for its class. The beach gets really busy by mid morning and you have to book a cabana the day before which can be annoying to line up at 4:30p each day. The in house restaurants could be better, but overall had good experience. The views and landscaping on the grounds are really nice including the animal life.
