"Aruba is Gorgeous with lots of Natural Beauty that can be seen in one day if you are up to an off road adventure by renting a 4x4(which was AMAZING!!). We loved the Renaissance Aruba Marina Hotel and the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. However, (not at the fault of the hotel) we thought we booked an ALL Inclusive package as the BookIt website made us believe, but to our surprise at arrival, we did not. The hotel was accommodating and offered an all you can eat breakfast (pretty good too) at the Aquarius Restaurant (on hotel premises) for $15 per day/per person. Great deal considering that a walk in all you can eat breakfast was at least $20 per person. The L.G. Steakhouse was our favorite restaurant in the hotel. Not having an all inclusive did not limit us to eating only what the hotels offered. We were able to venture out and try many restaurants in the area. The Private beach was beautiful and the Spa on the beach was relaxing and well worth the time. My husband and I would definitely go back."

"We also booked the vacation with the understanding that it was an All-Inclusive package, one which includes the 'room only' at the top, and one which is 'all-inclusive' at the bottom of the list. Who knew a list of 'all-inclusive' packages could include a 'room only' option? The end result was an additional $2,800 payment to the Resort upon arrival to get what we believed was paid for. An additional disappointment was the the all-inclusive package did not include all of the restaurants associated with the resort, and the menu at the LG Smith Steak House was a limited version of the normal menu selection. Each hotel has a casino within the area (or mall), but neither seems to be affiliated with the hotel. We stayed at the (family) side, which included a GREAT POOL AREA with a swim up bar, but only a man-made beach surrounded by a stone wall - the same held true for the beaches at the Rennaissance's private island (a bit overrated the way they promote it, but okay), which really made the beach area more of a large wading pool. The pool/beach area also did not have an accessible restroom area, which forced everyone to either go back to their rooms or use the public restrooms in the main lobby area. The Ocean Suites had only one restaurant, the Captain's Corner, and the limited menu at Sole, the pool-side bar... the other 2 restaurants and 2nd bar area were located across the street. The only Fitness Center in the 'resort' was also located across the way at the Marina (adult) side, which created a bit of an access problem in the morning as it as not nearly big enough to cover the population of 2 hotels. The staff was generally pleasant to deal with (although typically at a very slow pace) and the rooms were clean and somewhat spacious. We didn't hate the 'resort', but just read the fine print, look at the map layouts and know what you're getting beforehand so you don't get the unfortunate surprises we did. With all that said, we all loved Aruba itself!!!!"
