We have stayed and Bucuti and Tara 3 times. I wanted to write a thorough review to give back to the Trip Advisor community and help people make an informed decision. The rooms: The first time we stayed in a Tara suite and the last 2 times we stayed in a standard Bucuti room. The Tara Suite is basically a standard room with the addition of a seperate living room type area that can be closed off. The rooms are not fancy like some high end resorts with marble and lavish furnishings but they are... Read more

We stayed here in October 2015, 4 days after returning home, we booked two weeks for May 2016 to include my 60th birthday. As with last time, we were enthralled with the beauty of this resort. The adult-only environment is very appealing to us and every effort is put forth to deliver a romantic experience for guests. From the fabulous breakfast (included) daily, to the beachside drink service, two daily happy hours and housing two fine dining restaurants, Elements and Carte Blanche, a lovely po... Read more

From the moment you get on the grounds of the Bucuti - Tara Resort you feel like you're being welcomed into the home of a family member. Cool towels, champagne (tho we opted for the cold water instead) and personal greeting by management and concierge, Daniella, made us feel so welcome. Daniella took us to our room, explained everything about the resort, room, etc (it took about 45-minutes of her time to go through everything that the resort had to offer, quite impressive). My husband and I stay at Bucuti and Tara for five days in May and the experience was extraordinary. The staff was attentive, pleasant and genuine. It is a secluded only for adults hotel/resort with amazing beach front. Love their food (breakfast was included) at their restaurant Elements. They also have a fitness facility and romantic settings for dinner or/and happy hours. The rooms are beautiful, quite, clean and comfortable. These were affordable vacations in paradise.

Hadn't had a beach vacation in a couple of years, so my girlfriend and I spent some time considering a destination. We don't do cruises, and I wasn't interested in an all-inclusive resort as we didn't want to feel locked-down at a location. In reviewing options in Mexico and Turks and Cacaos, as well as the Hyatt and Marriot in Aruba, we settled for Bucuti and Tara...it sounded like a great place for a more private beach experience. The food and drinks weren't as great as some of the other resorts we've been too but breakfast was solid each morning. The rooms also are pretty simple for the price point. However, those are easy trade offs to make for the wide expanse of beach and offering of comfortable lounge chairs with a great view. Additionally, the staff was very helpful with making reservations and offering suggestions for activities. We have kids, but an adults only resort made for a wonderful couples getaway.

It's worthwile to make a reservation at Carte Blanche long before your visit, because there is only room for 14 dinner guests per evening. We stayed in a bungalow which was absolutely wonderful. We were steps from the pool and beach. The resort provided comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach as well as a beach bar. The staff was friendly and genuinely cared about their guests. They were attentive to the guests' needs. One of the best features was that it is an adults only resort. This was our first trip to Aruba and we are glad we stayed at Bucuti & Tara. The hotel is truly a hidden gem with spectacular service and excellent food quality. We stayed in the Tara Oceanfront Suite which was very spacious and steps away from the beach. Eagle Beach was by far the best beach we've ever been with super soft white sand, warm blue clear water, and no presence of seaweed in the ocean. We are definitely planning to come back to Bucuti & Tara next year.

We stayed on the Tara side of Bucuti and Tara, our room was a balcony overlooking the beach. The room was comfortable and had a great balcony that we could sit out and watch the sun set at night. We bought the meal plan which gave us access to the onsite restaurants as well as ~20 other restaurants both near the hotel and across the Island. The meal plan came out cheaper when we went to restaurants on the list. A couple of nights we ate at restaurants that were not on the list so we ended up... Read more

Traveled to Aruba for our tenth anniversary and we returned to Bucuti for our third visit. As always, I would recommend Bucuti to anyone desiring a romantic retreat as an alternative to large, all-inclusive chain hotels.
