My wife and I stayed for a week in May. We used Marriott points if that makes any difference to readers. The room was upgraded two levels from Limited View to Ocean View. Based on the hotel set up everyone has a view to the ocean but some are a bit better. Ocean Front would be the best. I posted pictures from the room so you can see. Everything looks exactly like pictures on the Ritz-Carlton website. They offered Concierge Level for $200 extra per day but we planned to eat out most days ... Read more

Where do I start?! We arrived in Aruba for a 7 day family vacation during which our son turned 9 years old. We walked into the hotel and my husband and I were promptly greeted and offered a stemless glass of champagne - heaven. Check in was quick, my son's were given a balloon and bucket with goodies = happy faces. We were escorted to our room, given lots of property info, bell set up our room and we were ready to begin a fun filled week. What happened during that week we did not anticipate... Read more

I have been to Aruba many times and have enjoyed many of the hotels on the island. This was my first stay at the Ritz, and it was beyond my expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. The staff cannot do enough for you. Their commitment to service is unbelievable. Check in was seemless, our rooms were ready and exactly as we had booked. We stayed on the Club Level and everyone in there was amazing. Joanne, Leny, Julissa, David, Ria and so many others I ... We went to the newly opened (7 months old or so) Ritz Carlton for our sunset farewell drinks and it was beautiful. The bar is on the second floor with floor to ceiling windows so one can look out into the beach front and enjoy the sunset set. The Ritz is always so beautifully appointed and this property is no exception. We had the perfectly made Bloody Mary and Cadushi (one of the specialty cocktails that has white rum and cactus juice, very refreshing)!

We stayed in the Ritz Carlton Suite last year on a family vacation. I hadn't traveled here before and had no idea how the hotel would be. We've had consistency issues with the Ritz (some are beautiful and some are very dated). This hotel felt new and clean. It had a modern, sleek style. The grounds and hotel are family friendly. We had two teens, a pregnant friend, and a toddler in tow. The wifi was good enough to game (teen boy) and the shops were great for my teen daughter. They both loved the... Read more

We did a lot of research for our first trip to Aruba to select a perfect location to stay at for our anniversary. We are so glad we landed at the Ritz-Carlton. We'd highly recommend it. Here is a list of pros and cons we experienced along with some helpful tips. Pros: It is on the far northwest end of the high rise hotels and at the quietest section of the beach. Your stay included free access to paddle boards, kayaks, snorkel gear, and paddle boats. One tip: get snorkel gear and walk approxima... Read more

When you think of a Ritz Carlton certain things come to mind. Impeccable property and unsurpassed service. In some areas they excel in others, there could be improvement. Checkin was swift and we were escorted to our room which was nice. However, much to our surprise we found two queen beds and a view of what appeared to be a sewer canal. (Our confirmation said ocean view). After quite come time (including them offering for me to pay and additional $100 a night for a better room) Vivian was a... Read more

My husband and I were at the property yesterday for a day pass. We loved the beach, service, and, the best part, our beach cabana service. Perfect service by our butler Nance, she always asked if we needed something. Our cabana beach had a refrigerator with water, fruits and snacks. Afterwards, we ate at the italian restaurant in the property and the service excellent from Janino. I recommend this hotel if you want to relax and have great service.

While roughly a 5 star this hotel has distinct oddities like rude guests and an inept front desk. I break my detailed comments into what I liked and what was odd. BLT Steak is a big plus. The Good We booked an executive suite and I can recommend them for the added space and comfort. Ours was at the end of the hall, which meant a very long walk from the lifts, but we had a private and covered balcony that was great at night and in the rain. Staff is amazing here. Turn down service twice daily that is willing to provide extras of everything - water, toiletries, coffee. Rooms all have balconies and can be a bit of a walk from the elevator, as is the ice. View from the north side of the hotel was of another beach popular with kitesurfing but mostly quieter than others. Location was great at the north end of palm beach so you can walk to more exciting resorts or shops. Taxis are cheap at $6 to that area too. Pool/beach service is 5... Read more

The best ever! Great service, location and amenities. Go for the Club Level on Floor 7. Food offerings, wine, beer and more, attention to detail are some highlights when you are in the club. The staff is well trained and they will treat you like a king and a queen. Beach and pool are very nice, not crowded. Fitness center has what you need. For activities go see Jeffrey on the beach in between the Ritz and Marriott under the hut. He will take care of you for ATV's, snorkeling etc.

Overall the hotel was not up to the standards of a Ritz. The best part of the experience was when we arrived, the concierge and the front desk staff were lovely. My husband and I just returned from a company incentive trip to Aruba and we stayed at the Ritz Carlton. Every room has an AMAZING view of the Caribbean. We loved just spending time on the balcony and enjoying the view. The beach was beautiful and service while enjoying the sand was perfect. Delivering cocktails on a Segway is pretty cool. We took advantage of the adult pool and laying on a chaise lounge. Great experience right down to check-in and check-out. Just a delightful time in Aruba!

We tend to stay at nicer hotels on our vacations so we're excited to stay at the ritz in Aruba. The beach, FANTASTIC. The service on the beach, wonderful. My only gripe is the room service. Our room wasn't cleaned by the time we returned from the beach on 3 days! I'm not a difficult person but expect the room to be cleaned, at a minimum, by 2/3:00. Our room wasn't cleaned until 4:00 and sometimes later. By then, we were already back in our room and it was too late to have them come back to... Read more

The bff and I stayed in a gorgeous suite on the top floor, with two queen beds. The bathroom was lovely and spacious and the closet was perfect (these things matters to women.) Hotel was nice. Staff was very helpful. Varanda was exceptional.Food and drinks were expensive. Pool was refreshing. Happy hour was short and drinks just as expensive. Birds and feces from reptiles was annoying and considering the costs for this hotel should have better control.

We loved, loved, loved our trip and the hotel was very nice. We didn't feel that it was quite at Ritz standards though. Everything had been redone very nicely, but it was evident that the hotel was a remodel and it must not have been a luxury hotel before it was a Ritz. Common areas like restaurants, bars, pools were all just a little ho-hum.

This is a beautiful hotel. Staff amazing all of them. Not sure how anyone can ever say they are not helpful. Very happy and very friendly. Needs music at the pool. Way too quite. It is very pricey for food and drinks. Casino is clean and big. Stayed at many other hotels in Aruba. This is the class act of hotels.

By far the best hotel to stay at in Aruba. The beach front is great. There is a sand bar in front of Ritz. You can go in the ocean for almost a mile and the water is still waist high. much better than baby beach. Very calm water. The staff, service and Club level excellent as expected. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Cons: The pools are not that exciting and the interior of the hotel fairly simple and not as elegant as some other Ritz.

The RITZ brand carries with it a certain performance and attraction obligation that simply is missing here. Nothing is really special about the place. Granted, it is better on many levels than some of the alternatives but it just is nothing special.

The hotel is exactly what I expected top notch! The staff was polite, courteous and attentive. The restaurants on the premises were excellent. The hotel location is nearby many things to see. 15 min from downtown. The beach is absolutely clear and pristine. The fact that you were in charge for umbrellas was a plus!! All the amenities were again top notch. If you like the finer things in life this is definitely the place to be !!

My husband and I actually had reserved the Marriott next door. They had us on the third floor. There was construction going on for the new Starbucks coming soon. When I Reserved this there was no mention of construction. I was actually very tossed between the two hotels and have enjoyed both the the Marriott and the Ritz in the past) and the Marriott was very attractive. We were so looking forward to just peace and quiet as my husband had not taken vacation in a long time. We actually re... Read more

LOVED everything and everyone we encountered from the moment we checked in until the moment we checked out. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beds were super comfortable. We ended up doing the club level which was wonderful- well worth the money!!! Our entire group looked forward to seeing what was in store for us up there each day- great breakfast, snacks, and desserts. Not to mention the wine, mimosa and bloody mary bar (Celia was wonderful and so sweet) The pool and beach guys were so g... Read more

No need to bore you by telling about the amazing Island of Aruba , it's friendliness, cleanliness and beautiful beaches. So about the Ritz Carlton Aruba: Despite the heavy name it carries , it's just not to the standard of a five star hotel. Lobby: nice but very modest, small No business centre (I found it odd) Very minimal kids activities (no water splashes, no slides ,.... ) Just a small pool and a small room they call Ritz kids. Entertainment : nothing. It's too quiet of a hotel (or as I he... Read more

This was our 2nd stay at the Ritz Carlton and it was great. The first time we stayed here we had a bumpy experience and the Ritz stepped up and invited us back. The beach is beautiful, though sometimes the chairs in the front row are a little hard to get. The pool staff is very friendly and was always available to set up towels. The fruit water and sunscreen located by the pool is a great touch. The pool staff also brings out fresh fruit in the morning for guests, which is great. We loved getti... Read more

We spent 1 week in an oceanfront room, we still feel the exact same as our 1st visit (see review) but want to add a few points. Pick up from the airport was fast, they brought a large BMW $118 and we were thru check in and in our room within 30 mins from departing the airport. The front desk was efficient, friendly and the manager came out to introduce herself that thank us for the return visit. Several nights before dinner we sat at the Divi/lobby bar and had cocktails or a bottle of Cabernet... Read more

Parents of infants - this resort is NOT for you! My family and I recently visited the Ritz over thanksgiving 2016. Prior to arriving, I had requested early check in as well as a fridge and crib. The reason I requested early check in was so we could take care of my 4 month old after a long morning of travels. They were not able to provide me with this request, so they directed me to the spa to feed and change my child. The spa offered for me to use the bathroom to feed my child - now I don't ... Read more
