The complex is part of the Tamarijn all-inclusive without the option of the all-inclusive which means you dont have access to the restaurants and such. The resort is probably one of the first on Aruba and it shows. The bed was hard as rock and the furniture was old and had torn coverings. The best part of the resort is the location. It has a beautiful beach on property and is almost the center of the island to make everything accessible. In all fairness, they are in the process of renovatio... Read more

This is our 3rd visit to Dutch village, We like this property because of quietness, small property, extra large rooms, easy access to pools and sandy beach, with kitchens. Be aware: Beach is washed out ( still there is sand but it was double the size in our last visits) Condition of the rooms needs renovation, Beds are extra firm, Gym per my wife AC is not working since day one and don't believe it will be fixed, There is a renovation in first 2 buildings, didn't bother us by construction noise... First of all, I would like to express that I really love Aruba, the beaches, the hospitality of the people, pretty much everything. I also like the Divi Dutch Village Resort, but I encountered a few issues related to the people who work at the Resort and their disposition to help the tourists. These different situations made me real sad, because everybody in Aruba is helpful and kind towards tourists and I feel always safe there. There were few issues with the towells that we had to ask several... Read more

We recently had a two week all inclusive holiday in the Divi (Tamarind). It is quite an undertaking from Scotland to Aruba and requires a 4 hour drive then a 9 hour flight. It is worth it. On arriving we were a little disappointed in our room. The furniture was a bit run down as was the bathroom. On a plus note the apartment was massive and included a little kitchen area. It also had a wonderfully big balcony. Although it was a bit dated it was kept very clean so it was fine. The air condi... Read more

Everything you need is all at this resort. Good food. Close walk or complementary golf cart service to the different sister resorts. Many things to do that are included. Kayaking, sailboarding, bicycles, shuffle board and among other things. Entertainment by the pools. Nice and relaxing.

This is my third visit and it never disappoints. Took the all inclusive and glad we did. While all of the staff are very good and helpful some stand out more than others. At the Sea Breeze Bar its Franklin , ended our day at the beach with Franklin every day....made the trip more fun. Mulligans....Jennifer *(top notch), every day for breakfast drinks were at the table the minute she saw us arrive. Always efficient and courteous. Evenings, Hoover, one of the most humble people I've ever met... Read more

We stayed at the Divi Dutch Village from the 26th July for a week. We booked through Thomsons. The flight out was ok but the crew were a little disorganised (for example they didn't have enough landing cards for all the passengers to fill in) and were rude to some passengers. The crew on the way back were much better! You check in on the coach so when you arrive this makes it a little quicker to get to your room. However you miss a lot of information for example that you need to book in for din... Read more

We own at the Dutch Village---and love it! We took the tour of the upgraded units and can not wait to return next year to a Bigger and Better upgraded unit! Always exciting to see what improvements are offered, very excited about a washer and dryer in each apartment---and an added dining room! Keep it up Dutch Village--the BEST Timeshare on the Island!!!!

Just came back from a lovely two weeks. The food is great, restaurants are well worth booking and the buffet is good. Rooms are very clean and comfy. After the refurb has taken place it will be great. The restaurants are tricky to get into, so book them ASAP. Bunker Bar is fab to watch the sunset. The only downer for me is lack of choice for diet drinks. Coke only!! My son is a Type1 Diabetic and he was very fed up of Diet Coke. We were all inclusive but he had no choice!! A few times we were gi... Read more

We were a little concerned after hearing there were renovations going on but no worries at all, we have just had an amazing two weeks. Rooms were spotlessly clean, all the staff were friendly and helpful even the guys doing the gardening always said good morning. Everyone works really hard we certainly had an most enjoyable time, would like to see the renovations when finished.

Just returned from my first visit to Aruba and the Tamarijn Divi Dutch resort. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay. After hearing about the building work going on, we were a bit nervous but for most of the holiday we were unaware it was even happening! We were also lucky enough to be there when they opened the new buffet restaurant and what a difference it made! The staff are all very happy and attentive and never stop. They are always on hand to ensure you have everything you need and will go... Read more

Our stay was just perfect at this resort. We had choose the one bedroom condo and if we went back I don't know if we would because our children are older and the pull out sleeper sofa wasn't very comfortable and it was older. We did enjoy the extra room and would not of been happy spending a week in a hotel style room. Even though we weren't ocean front it was a very short walk to reach it. Overall, the resort was very clean, many choices on pools, beaches and restaurants. We never had a ... Read more

Stayed here with family for second week of Caribbean trip, despite poor reviews we had no problems, balcony over pool and few steps to beach, which was lovely and not overcrowded, loads of places to eat,bus tours from main hotel and golf carts available between all the main points, can call from apartment. Grocery stores within ten minute walk, wifi a bit flakey in apartment, needs to be sorted but overall really good.

I booked a stay at they Divi Dutch Village with family and friends in July. Soon after we checked in we realized that our trip was about to go downhill fast. Our luggage was packed up into a golf cart and we were driven over to Divi Dutch. As we walked up to our room it felt like I was entering a seedy motel. The rails in the stairwell were peeling and some of the paint on the walls chipped. When we entered our room it only got worse. There was what appeared to be mold on the ceiling in the bedr... My husband and I chose to visit Aruba and Divi Dutch Village for our vacation this year. We checked in to a beautifully furnished room, pre-cooled and with the view of the pool. I requested the ground floor and was told that it might be a bit difficult, but Stacy worked her magic and we got what we wanted. We were there for one week and rented a car for three days to explore the rest of the island rather than stay in the tourist area. The beaches near the hotel were damaged by tropical storm M... I was in Aruba for 2 weeks. The first week, I booked 3 rooms at Dutch Village and asked if they could be all in the same building, we were getting married on the property and wanted our family close by. Apparently that was too much to ask, as we were scattered throughout the property. The front desk was also no help in finding us rooms closer together. Our unit was close to the construction going on in the building behind us....waking me up at 7am each day we were in that room. The second ... Read more

They don't tell you when you book that there are no Ocean view rooms. They all belong to another resort. There is no restaurant at the Divi Dutch and if you go to the Tiki Bar, it may be closed. The shuttle service is not good. Some will take you across to the Divi Golf, others won't. You may wait a long time for a shuttle. It's best to dial 0 from your room and ask for a shuttle in advance. The Divi Golf is a much nicer place.

Resort is beautiful but front desk staff is entirely unhelpful. No one knows anything and to be associated with the tamarijn they act like its another planet. Was not told any details by front desk about amenities or how to get beach towels.

We are leaving today. This place is newly renovated and great! Lobby opened the day we got here. Our room still smelled like drywall a good way! Lol. There is still some construction going on, and they are working out renovation completion, but we loved it. Very close to beautiful beach. Shuttle service all over resort very convenient.
