Chosen by our tour company it is centrally situated and it seems within walking distance of many attractions in this great city. The rooms are really spacious with wooden flooring and plenty of wardrobe space together with hangers! We were lucky to have a front facing room, viewing the 9th July Avenue with surprisingly no noise from the 8 plus lanes of traffic below us. There is a business desk together with chair so great for working on the computer is you need, however a lack of power points ... Read more

Excellent central location. Overall I would rate this at 3.5 rather than 4 stars, however our room was spacious and overlooked the very busy 9th.July Avenue, with no noise. The room would benefit from a "brightening up". The bed was huge and comfortable and there was a flat screen TV. A good shower/bath, but the sink was overly-large, which restricted movement meaning only one person could be in at a time. My wife said the indoor pool was fine, though it was in the basement. Service at the bar w... Read more

His hotel is really well located in central Bu ends Airies, close to the Colon Theatre and with in walking distance of most t purist sites and some non tourist ones as well. Hotel itself is a little drab, rooms are relatively good size but with smallish bathrooms. We had a superior double, it could have done with a lick of paint and the drain was slightly smelly. They advertised an upgrade for USD 25 a night but we're not prepared to offer that to us as we were booked via a UK tour company and w... Read more

I stayed at this hotel against my better judgement because a friend was coming to review and inspect the site for a large travel company. I thought it looked overpriced based on the reviews and similar properties and I (tripadvisor) was bang on. The exterior tells it all. Worn and faded flags that look like they were strung up decades ago. The staff were reasonably courteous, but I was put on a floor that was either smoking or every day people decided to smoke inspite of it being a nonsmoking f... Read more

We stayed at Hotel Pestano for three nights in May, 2016. The location can not be beat! We walked over to the Teatro Colon for a tour (well worth the expensive price of admission!). We felt safe going out for dinner in the evening to a few suggested places by our tour guide (who was exceptional!). We also were able to walk several blocks right to the Pink House and surrounding interesting buildings. We had a great room with a really good bed and good linens. Sometimes, the front desk could have ... Read more

We stayed at Pestana for 9 days. Can't beat the location which is centrally located and easy to get to most areas, either walking or short taxi ride. The rooms were large and comfortable and clean. It did smell of smoke, which is my major peeve and reason for 4 stars instead of 5. But the smell of cigarette is omnipresent in the city as there are way too many people who smoke everywhere. Our room had street view of the 9 de Julio Ave and the obelisk. I guess light sleepers could have some troubl... Read more

Very good location, specially if your are going to do business downtown. Close to the Obelisco, av 9 de Julio, Calle Florida. If uou feel like you can walk a bit more, go walking to Cada Rosada and Porto Madero. The hotel is good, the service is great, the bed is comfortable. Just be aware that the dowtown (Microcentro) region is not turistic at night or during the weekends. The mais street is ok, but the surroundings might be quite desert.

It's not the first time I stay at this hotel. It has an excellent location, in the heart of Buenos Aires, nearby Florida street and Obelisco. It's a small and quite hotel. Good breakfast. Friendly service. However, I had an inconvenience, because I was driving a car. Due to new policies, the hotel no longer allows their employees to park your car for you. The parking is charged. The garage is very narrow, and difficult to park. You may have to drive down 3 floors. I had to ask, every day, one of... Read more
