Very nice hotel, centrally located and with a great architectural design. The old building has been modernized recently but still keeps its charm. The elevator brings you back in the 1920s! Only small remark was the massive unprofessionalism of my taxi driver that I booked from the hotel in advance at 1am, who did not follow any traffic rules (avoiding the toll gates, speeding etc.) Besides that 5/5

I arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the loft i had booked. It was nice and spacious with a great view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the minibar well stocked plus options to order great food from the restaurant below via room service was a fantastic bonus. Everything was perfect except when I made a small complaint that the Internet wasn't really working well the managers response was "if you don't like it just go to another hotel". I felt this was a very harsh answer cons... Read more

In popular SanTelmo area close to Defensia market, shops and restaurants Room was large with quality fittings, good size bathroom, wardrobe, wifi works in room. Staff spoke english and were very pleasant and helpful. They helped us with a flight booking problem by ringing the airline for us. Would certainly stay there again. Antique lifts are easy to use and work well.

Our stay at Hotel Moreno in the San Telmo area of Buenos Aires was short, but sweet thanks to the very helpful staff and great location of our hotel. San Telmo is an older district in Buenos Areas, and the hotel maintains the unique characteristics of older architecture. Stained glass windows on each floor and an old elevator add character to the building. The rooms are simple but loft-like and very comfortable, wifi is also available throughout the entire hotel. The staff are what make this pla... Read more

We have stayed at many hotels and we have also become surprised by kindness, upgrading, efficiency. But at Moreno Hotel EVERYTHING surprised us. We have stayed there twice. To start with the very best: the wonderful staff member, Marianny! She spoke English and was helpful in every way. We asked for help to find a Tango Show and she recommended one two blocks away. She helped us reschedule a flight, book a restaurant, book taxis and so on... We usually do all this ourselves, but she was so wond... Read more

Great comfortable modern hotel in a vintage building. huge rooms, nice shower, comfy bed. Breakfast could be somewhat better, but all in all decent & filling. It really is only the coffee I wish had been better. Great view from breakfast room. Location of the hotel can't get any better. Overall quite happy & we will be back.

This place is rather special but good. Obviously an older building having been heavily renovated, it has huge rooms and old fashioned elevators. Breakfast on the upper floor is gorgeous (they even serve eggs, rare in Argentina). WFi is OK. Service only so-so with large towels not supplied.

Really enjoyed this little gem. 37 rooms makes for a comfortable size hotel. Stayed for 7 nights so really got to get a feel for the wonderful friendly staff and room locations. The basic rooms are large by any standards and splurging for a loft suite at over 600 sq ft was the ticket. At around $100 a night a real find. Even numbered rooms can be a bit noisier as the vintage building has single paned glass windows but have nice views of the neighboring church and other older buildings. Terrific ... Read more

The Moreno Hotel is in the San Telmo district of Buenos Aires. This is the old part of town so the streets are a little narrower, sidewalks about half what they should be and the paving is nearly entirely stone block (in the U.S., you get cobblestones; same concept except squares). So it's quaint and centrally located. Super easy to get a taxi which is what you want if you're not walking. But, you can walk almost everywhere from here. The hotel rooms are huge and have a modern design. The staff... Read more

My room was large, with lots of floor space and high ceilings, clean, and furnished sparsely, which I prefer. It had a balcony, and one of the best showers I've found at a hotel -- great water pressure! The bed was comfy, location is central within the city, and price was very reasonable. I can't think of anything I'd improve. Excellent hotel!

I like this place. It has a lot of character and is in a great location. At first we were on the third floor but we were upgraded to a suite on the fifth floor because the AC wasn't working in the first room. I love the high ceilings and the rooms all seem to be different. There's a rooftop deck and breakfast was good. There is a 24-hour doorman/security which I like. Plus the lobby is on the second floor which makes it seem more safe (not that it's in a bad location, but these things do make an... Read more

What a great little find... Perfectly tucked away in the San Telmo area of Buenos Aires. The main sites are just a brief walk away.. The rooms are very spacious, beds comfortable, showers are hot.. Breakfast is up on the 7th floor out looking to the city in 360 view.. Everything you need for a short or long stay in Buenos Aires...

The location was super convenient. Perfect for exploring the streets of San Telmo and the markets nearby. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help. They spoke perfect English which made life a lot easier for me. Really helpful with recommending sights and a tango show to try out. Hopefully we will be back. Highly recommended.

The rooms are huge, bed comfortable and shower has good pressure but somehow Moreno did not win me over. Mostly it was the noise, the traffic in the street the hotel takes it name from starts around 6 am and I found it best to get up at that time since after that there was constant honking etc that I was not able to sleep through. I also found the breakfast a little lack luster but if you like cake for breakfast you will be well served. And the elevators.... they do have some charm but mostly I ... Read more

Everything you need for a short or lengthy stay in Buenos Aires! Clean room, nice bathroom, great wifi! The staff were very helpful and the location was nice as well. Bed was very comfy and the AC was key for the hot weather. Some cute breakfast places right near by.

This Art Deco hotel was charming. Our teenage granddaughter was delighted with the old-fashioned elevator, and we all enjoyed a well-made and generous breakfast. Our room was comfy and the neighborhood was good for sightseeing, shopping, and participating in Feria San Telmo, an outdoor market (with dancing, the day we went). The staff was friendly, kind, and very helpful. We were there for 3 nights and couldn't have been more pleased with the experience.
