An interesting hotel in central Buenos Aires. Don't let the tiny reception and ground floor put you off. The rooms are more than adequate. At about £50 per night it's good value for a stay in BA. The breakfast is ok basically bread but that is standard in Argentina.

Situated in the heart of Buenos Aires very conveniently located for all of the sights in the city (with a little walking). We checked in early with no problem, the reception is at the back past the lift. The guy on reception was efficient and friendly with good English. Our room was a good size on the side of the hotel and so was quiet, with air con Our room was booked in the UK and should have had a kitchenette, well it did have an area with a sink and a microwave but nothing else. Not a kettle... Read more

Very easy access to many Buenos Aires highlights, although the place itself is tired and a bit shopworn. Mixed reviews on the staff. Some were very helpful, and some downright rude. Breakfast for carb lovers only. Not a bit of protein in sight (toast, cake, fruit & jello). typical "media luna" breads for some tables, but not for all. The room was very large and comfortable, although not very clean (dark finger prints on light switches & around door handles), water damage and peeling paint on bat... Read more

I stayed at this hotel for the night after my room at another hotel had electrical difficulties. The man on reception was accommodating and gave me all the info I needed for my room, including the wifi passcode and minibar menu. The room was spacious, and had an ensuite bathroom which was fine. The flush on the toilet was not working but the shower worked ok. There were some stains on the sheets in the bed but they were clean. I didn't get a chance to have breakfast the next day so can't comment... Read more

This hotel is quite well located, very close to the Teatro Colon . It's easy to walk to shops, banks, parks etc fro mere. All the streets follow a grid pattern so with a map its fairly easy to follow directions. The hotel is a good base when visiting Buenos Aires. The staff are very helpful although they do not all speak English. Lorena was very helpful and spoke good English. All the reception staff try, however, to communicate and will book taxis, Tango Shows, etc. They accept American dollars,... Read more

Highly recommend this hotel if on a budget. Staff were friendly no matter what time of day. Due to my jetlag I was wide awake at 2 am and they were still helpful. Great location, clean room, breakfast nothing special but enough to start your day.

Small bed, small room, few amenities and weak Wi-Fi. Location is good: walking distance to courts area (Tribunales), Teatro Colón, shops, restaurants. The staff was great, however, and the price was right.

I rarely write reviews, but this time I had. I booked the hotel through an on line agency. I got room #102 and fortunately I stayed only 1 night, There is a difference between a historic hotel, and an old almost abandoned hotel. This one is an old and almost abandoned hotel. Where to start? - Dirty old carpet, like really old and really dirty - Of 6 sockets in the room, 2 work - Super old TV - Hole in the drywall in the bathroom - Of the 2 lights of the bathroom only one functioning - Towels so ... My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of a cruise. This was our first time in Buenos Aires and we weren‚??t sure what to expect given our only look at the hotel was via Google maps. We arrived on a Sunday to find everything in the area closed and the same on the Monday which was a bank holiday. The area looked bleak and uninviting with no one about. The hotel itself is a bit on the scruffy side. We had a room on the 5th floor at the back (very quiet) with a damp patch on the ceiling ... Read more
