Well located in San Telmo, the hotel gave good access to a range of city centre sights. The room was comfortable, reception service was excellent but the buffet breakfast was a bit of a weak point - this was just about OK, but no more.

To be fair we had an upgrade and our room on the 3rd floor was very spacious, well appointed and the bathroom was large by hotel standards including a free standing bath.( some of the reviews in respect of the standards rooms may be warranted ) Certainly the reception/foyer is underwhelming with no local ambience and what was surprising was the lack of tourist information on display ie local tours, city maps etc however on request the front desk did arrange a trip to the tigre delta which was... My partner and I have just endured a 6 night stay here in Argentina's capital. The hotel is modern and well located. Their are however too many flaws to this hotel to give it any higher then 3 stairs. Firstly, the elevator - it rings loudly on every floor every time any guest presses the button. This happens both late at night, early in the morning and throughout the day - if you are a sensitive sleeper or have tinatus pick a different hotel. This drove me crazy and ruined any mid-day naps. Since retiring, we have become long-stay apartment renters when we travel to South America to escape cold Canadian winters, so we use fewer hotels than we used to. The Kenton remains our first choice when we need a hotel to fill in a gap night. Clean, well appointed--even a little luxurious--rooms that are modern but with warmth & character. Excellent location in heart of San Telmo, although the windows look out on office towers, so no nice view. Very effective BUT SILENT air conditioning guaran... Read more

A modernist hotel a few years old now but still in good nick. Big and spacious room, large bathroom. Staff not so helpful. No jug for tea or coffee have to got to breakfast room which was pain. Would definitely recommend to stay. Market outside front door on Sunday.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean with modern decor, comfy beds and large spacious bathroom. We had three single beds and there was plenty of wardrobe and floor space for clothes and bags. Staff really friendly and helpful. Breakfast not your usual European style buffet as they do seem to love sweeter foods but hey.. on holiday what does it matter. Eat cake for breakfast :-) Fantastic location in the heart of San Telmo. The city cente is easily walkable as is Puerto Madero and Defensa it... Read more

For a standard room it was quite large and roomy with plenty of electric sockets and a big comfy bed. It actually had 2 bathrooms, 1 with toilet, bidet and shower, the other with bath and large basin etc. Very quiet. Staff were helpful without overdoing it. Good location, most places in walking distance. Only small moan we have is the breakfast was a bit boring, buffet not always hot enough and not a lot of variety but this is common in Buenos Aires. They love their sweet stuff. Overall a good pl... We spent seven nights in June at this hotel and found the facilities very good. The room was spacious and clean. We also had the breakfast each day, it was a typical european breakfast and adequate. The coffee was really strong but it was often needed as we took a while to come right with the different time zone. Staff at the front desk were always helpful. We found the humidity in the rooms at night quite difficult and with the noise from the late night revellers we were unable to leave a ... Read more

Good location tidy hotel. Only thing lacking at hotel was no tea / coffee service available in rooms you had to use restaurant. Pain in the middle of night if you wanted a drink. Besides that clean, good service and comfortable. Is away from main shopping areas but short walk to many other attractions and great restaurants close by.

The hotel is well located in the 'Bohemian neighbourhood' of San Telmo . Spacious and comfortable . We would have liked to have had tea and coffee available in rooms. Daily breakfast was adequate . Good value

Clean hotel with large rooms with walking distance to the centre. Limited wardrobe and very small sink. Traffic was not disturbing. The bed was not very comfortable and the staff not very service minded. The breakfast buffet was boring

Very poor service. Emailed two weeks before arrival to upgrade for our anniversary. Ignored this. Spoke to reception who said he would speak to the office who would have received email. No response. Had twin room, attached to a lift with a generator fan outside the window which sprung to life at 6 am and stopped at midnight! Restaurant had a menu - most was unavailable! Beware of checkout as they tried to added extras to our bill eg water, meals. Would NOT recommend this hotel due to poor se... Read more

we spent 3 nights in the hotel, hotel is perfectly located close to San Telmo area nad also Puerto Madero. Clean rooms, basic but tasty breakfast, helpful staff. I would recommend this hotel for business trips. There are few nice restaurants around.

I spent one night in this hotel, while in Buenos Aires for business. The room was large and very nice. There is a spa in the basement of the hotel and it has a really nice pool with nice warm water! I was so sorry not to have my bathing suit along. The breakfast was fine, nothing exceptional, but certainly enough options to give you a good start to the day. The neighborhood feels a bit dodgy at night. A big plus is that the San Telmo street market is right in front of the hotel on Sundays.

The location is great, beds are comfortable and the bedrooms look nice. All TV channels are in Spanish. When we arrived, one of the windows was jammed open. At 05AM, when I couldn't sleep, I called reception, they told me there was no one to fix it before 08. Someone came to fix it at around 10, but it was always still loud. The shower was too hot, scalding hot and couldn't be set to a lower temperature. Water flowed from the shower to flood the toilet floor. Breakfast room was always terribly c... Read more

We stayed in this hotel as part of a Mercury holiday tour in room 707. The room was spacious and clean. Sheets were white and clean. Towels although old were ok too. Although, the hotel describes the room as soundproofed, it only has a double glazed window. We didn't hear a lot of noise from the other rooms next to us, but the noise from a generator outside which only went off between 4am and 6am was really loud and you definitely need earplugs. Also the noise from the lift kept dinging when a... Read more

Hotel is in San Telmo, a lovely, bohemian district of BA - on a Sunday its a bit like Camden High St in London,UK. Decent hotel, spacious rooms but no conception of good customer service at the reception desk. Bottles of water were available each day in the room, without any indication of a charge for them. After our three night stay, we were asked to pay A$180 ( £9.24) for the three bottles of water we had consumed. Also, poor service at the desk when we arrived from the airport a few hours be...
