The ibis is a basic hotel in an excellent location for visiting and exploring a wonderful city. What it lacks in sophistication it makes up for in the charm and helpfulness of the staff. Thoroughly recommended for a short economical stay.

This is my second time at this hotel, located in Congreso. You are minutes away from all the sights in downtown Buenos Aires and at a TRULY unbeatable price. Typical austere rooms, an Ibis trademark, but very clean and comfortable.

Very well located hotel, near the subway, restaurants, shops, supermarket, coffee shops. Front desk people very nice and ready to help us when needed. Rooms are clean and comfortable, just like the other Ibis' Hotels, they follow the same style.

This hotel is very conveniently located in the center of Buenos Aires, if that's what you want. The center is a little decadent, so you might consider better locations, like Palermo or Recoleta. Breakfast is good, instalations are good but some rooms, like mine, need reforms, like wall painting, floor maintenance etc. . Sheets and towels were clean, but the towels were quite old. Overall impression is that the hotel could be better maintained, although it's not a complete mess.

Prior to my review I'd like to say that this hotel should not be part of Accor Hotels, this place should not be an Ibis hotel. It's a shame. The staff on the reception and bar is the only good point of this place (I'm trying to avoid calling it a hotel). My room was dirty; the restroom smells bad; the bed was terrible, old and dirty! The air conditioner is a central one, so you cannot chose the temperature you want. One day I left the room to explore the city and when I came back to the infa... Read more

last weekend I went to ?bis Congreso in Buenos Aires. I bought a piece of cheese and I was surprised when I entered room there is no fridge. asked to recepcionist to put it on hotels fridge, and he said it is not allowed due to argentinian regulations. Recepcionist was not friendly(when we were discussing he started to laugh, sounds unpolite) and he didnt offer any solution. There was no manager in the hotel at that night. This is not the service I am used here in Brazil or in Uruguai.

Everything was to my satisfaction. The rooms are big, clean with everything you need such as bathroom, safe, TV, free WIFI and AC. I had a beautiful view of " el parque del Congreso". The continental breakfast (additional cost) was delicious. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

An Argentinian colleague recommended this hotel to me, as it is fantastically located on the Plaza del Congresso and very reasonably priced. I asked for a high room when I checked in, and i was given a room on the 14th floor with an astonishing view of the central plaza in Buenos Aires. Fabulous! The room was basic, but clean and functional, with free wifi. My only complaint with IBIS hotel rooms is that they don't have tea or coffee making facilities. The buffet breakfast was fine, and the rece... Read more

This hotel is closer Congress and touristic bus stop. You can pay the ticket on board. You can walk to Florida street and Pink House. There is two stations metro closer. The hotel is clean and preserved.

Stayed 7 nights over 2 separate stays on the 10th & 13th floors. For the price this is not a bad choice, it is located near the Congress Building so getting around is easy and access to major attractions is simple. The rooms are standard Ibis with comfortable beds. Just a couple of things to note for non- Spanish speakers. The staff speak from very basic to virtually no English so communication can be difficult at times. In addition there is not a single TV channel in English although wifi is qu... Read more

Even it is a chain hotel, it looks old, you feel there has not been any maintenance at all. Bed are not new, window doesn't close properly. When O asked for an extra pillow I was told they didn't have any, how can a Hotel do not have an extra pillow? Is like a coffee shop that don't have coffee to serve!! It is a cheap price and a really cheap service and experience.

I have booking for three days. They turn off the central refrigerator, and the air condicionar didn't work, Just because the days were cold for Argentina. They didn't let us finished our lunch in their the restaurant, just the food wasn't there. Small room...flys in the reception... around there aren't homeless. Not places to go. But the subway is near.

Well-located overlooking the park in front of Argentina's Congress building. Close to public transit and many good restaurants. Walking distance from key attractions. The hotel is aging a bit, and could use better maintenance of windows and plumbing. But still a good place to stay in a busy city.

The hotel has a good cost x benefit. But there is not a refrigerator in the room. There are some restaurants near the hotel, however it is far from sightseeings so it is necessary to take a taxi or walk a lot to go to these places.

Very good location; friendly and helpful staff; clean; comfortable except for the mattress which was at the break of collapse (we asked for a change that was supposedly done but we saw no difference between before and after). The breakfast quality was inferior to other hotels of the same chain but good enough, except for the coffee that has a slight taste of chlorine (or other chemical). Very good cost benefit relation.
