Much has already been said about Buenos Aires as a tourist destination, the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina and the supposed arrogance of the people that live in Buenos Aires. I never visited Buenos Aires before and being born in Brazil, I was expecting to be received poorly... But some things you have to see for yourself. Buenos Aires seemed to me a charming city, full of friendly and helpful people. And our stay at the Hotel Presidente greatly contributed to this positive impression. Reco... Read more

Well to start of the rooms are very simple, but quite charming in a way. The problems I had with this hotel is that the breakfast is literally just a big buffet of sweets, pastries and coffee. In every other hotel I stayed in, there was much more selection, such as meat, sausages, eggs and what have you. Another problem would be the internet, this hotel has free wifi, but the wifi does not connect in most of the rooms. In some rooms there is no connection at all and in some rooms the connection ... Because of flight delays, we missed our connection to El Calafate and Aerolineas Argentinas provided accomodations at the Hotel Presidente. It was probably a grand hotel in it's day, but those days have gone. The window in our room leaked (it was raining), water pressure was weak and room was generally old (the TV was an old CRT model). We were given meal vouchers, but the vouchers only covered a limited selection of items on the restaurant menu. The hotel staff were kind and pleasant. Sinc... Read more

You can tell from the decor and style of the hotel that it was probably a good, upscale hotel in it's day. Judging by the dark wood interiors, carpet and brass accents I would guess that was in the late 60's or early 70's. Walking in feels like you've stepped back through time. The rooms are tired, the carpet smells musty and not everything works as it should. It is in serious need of a top to bottom refurbishment these days. To be fair, the room rate is reasonable for the level of room and ... Read more

I stay about 2-year in this hotel since 13 years, when I am visiting my relatives in Argentina. They have the same employees, thats mean that their owners are good employers. They remember me each time also comment how my children are growing up. They are like a big family. The location is perfect and I love the very complete breakfast. Furnitures are bit old but some rooms were renovated. From there I can walk to the shopping areas and take any taxis at any time. I will continue visiting hotel ... Read more

I was put here by Aerolineas Argentinas after a flight cancellation. The location is great to move around Buenos Aires by feet but the hotel is absolutely decandent and has not been refreshed in decades. The rooms are old and very noisy. The breakfast buffet is much limited and is mostly made of cakes and sugar rich stuff. The staff is friendly and helpful.
