The Claridge Hotel is more than adequate and everything worked so no complaints, however you get the feeling that it has a need for some TLC to freshen it up. Almost colonial in style with a grand lobby and bar and very helpful staff who were only to willing to help resolve an issue with another tour operator, nothing to do with them or The Claridge Hotel, and without their we wouldn't have managed. A nice swimming pool added a little touch to our stay.

Claridge Hotel, once a landmark of mid 40`s Buenos Aires have been resisting to maintain its orginal status as Latin America's first Luxury Hotel. All the efforts last up to mid 90's when it was bought by a small hotel chain from Spain. Since then, the deterioration of overall installations are visible. The original apartments Chandelier was replaced by pseudo-modern illumination and the TV set is nothing but a computer monitor transformed into TV display. Honors due for the Breakfast, which sti... Read more

Horrible place to stay at! If I could give this a 0/5 rating I would. The hotel is well locates if you are an adventurous traveller. In my case travelling with kids, not so much. Its in a not so nice area, insecurity and poorly lit. The hotel itself lacks maintenance and is poorly cleaned. The walls are paper thin and I could actually hear my neighbor from across the hall skyping and texting, yes. I could hear the little clicks and texts. Very noise and the rooms are not well cleaned. ... Read more

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The breakfast in the morning is held in a very beautiful salon and consists of numerous pastries, toasts, fruit, meat and and a few other options that changed daily. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was larger than I expected with two windows. They even have a wall plug in the bathroom where you can plug in your american hair dryer/ straightener etc. without a converter which was a nice surprise. Overall I would definitely recommend!

Pros: It had an exceptional gym, the room A/C was quiet and the accommodating reception allowed late checkouts. Breakfast buffet was above average. Great location a block from lively pedestrian Florida Street and the Galerias Pacifico (good for an A/C break). Cons: Hotel restaurant/bar - overly warm on hot days, indifferent service is very slow and both times we went there was only a fraction of the menu items available. Our bathroom shared a vent with another room and unfortunately we could ... Read more

I stayed in this hotel because 22 years ago i came here with my family. The Property of the hotel has changed the Family sell to a Spanish Company. I like very much the allure of the Hotel. Is old fashion hotel, with a British style. Sone rooms are refurbished and they are working to refurbish the entire hotel. The staff as always is very kind and focus on client service. The location is in the hearth of Buenos Aires. Yesterday night we had a fab Xmas dinner with an excellent wine included. Bre... Read more

Although my recent visits have been confined to "one night stands", either coming from or returning to Europe, by my reckoning, I have now stayed at the Claridge more than two dozen times, a figure which speaks for itself. Having experienced a large number of other hotels in BA during visits spanning more than 40 years, the Claridge is indubitably the best that I have encountered, hence my return on an average of at least four times a year. I have previously extolled its virtues, to which I mu... Read more
