There is a dress code for men in the evening but only one restaurant required long trousers, shirt and shoes all the rest are shorts tee/polo shirts and flip flops etc, swim wear to be covered. The beach is amazing and just like the photos and there is a wide range of water sports available. There are a lot of vendors on the beach but t... Read more

We were in the Romeo & Juliette Butler suite in the Mediterranean building. Our butlers were great but they are juggling up to 9 rooms at one time so they try their best to give you personal attention but it is difficult. But they did make us feel special. What we liked- The resort is gorgeous as everyone states. At this time of year most restaurants were easy... Read more

We decided to try somewhere new after having been to Jamaica 3 times (Sandals Whitehouse, Couples Negril & Couples Swept Away) as well as Playa Del Carmen (Secrets Maroma Beach). This resort had been voted most romantic several years running and I had heard very good things from others, so what the heck. Summary: Ground transportation from airport is quick, but the process doesn't give you a great first impression. There is no Sandals lounge to check in, just go outside to the stand and wait f... This was our second stay at a Sandals Resort, and it was everything and more than our first stay. The rooms, gardens, food, and staff make this a memorable vacation. Remember, your vacation will only be as great as what you put into it. My husband and I decided to participate in most of the entertainment contests just for fun. We were on the Mediterranean side on the top floor, so we had zero sound issues (that I've seen other couples complain about.) Restaurants were awesome....Mario's is by far the best!! Kimono's was our least favorite but we might be in the minority in that area. The swim up pool bar was awesome! If there wasn't a lounge available, the staff would help locate one. I cannot describe the experiences we had at this island. The resort was fantastic, the workers were so polite and willfully were at our begging call. I paid for a day pass at this resort and could not have been happier with my choice. All the towels I wanted to use, all the food I could ever want to have, all the drinks I wanted, all and all and all was the key word for the day. Truly all inclusive. 100 per person. Great day pass. We loved this restaurant so much we visited it 3 times during our visit to Sandals!! In particular Jorge/George was a fantastic chef and a great server. He noticed when we were in need of a drink- in need of more food and offered tricks and tips on how to do great sushi. He was very attentive and very friendly and you can tell why he has worked their for 18 years!! Unforgettable!!

Flew American Airlines through Miami, you can almost expect delays and cancellations etc...We arrived in Antigua, later than expected, got through customs, and stood out front for about 30 minutes waiting to transfer to Sandals. When I questioned the manager on duty about this, he told me that 6 and 7 were the top floors and the suites were identical. Obviously they were not identical since there was a suite on top of mine. My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at Sandals Grande Antigua and I wanted to write this while it was fresh in my mind. To say that our experience was fabulous would be an understatement! We booked a rondoval suite with a private plunge pool and butler service to spoil ourselves because we knew this would be a special, once-in-a-lifetime kind of trip. It did not disappoint. There is so much to cover here, so I think it's easiest to break it down by category. Butler Service: Do y... Read more

Stayed here for 10 nights in September as part of our honeymoon ‚?? AMAZING! We arrived at the hotel at about 11am from Barbados. Checked in, had a glass of fizz & then went to lunch at Barefoot. We were able to get into our room at 1.30pm which was good. Stayed in a club room in the Mediterranean village. Room was fine with a great minibar & a pretty view over the gardens (first floor). It‚??s really hard to fault anything here! Every meal we ate was great, the choice is amazing! Antigua is lit... Read more

OK - first visit to this resort - as we are long-time loyalists to the Royal Caribbean Property (which seems to be losing some of its island charm). As you have no doubt read - the biggest negative is the vendors looking to sell, grab a drink, eat Sandals meals..... but its a 5 (10 scale) nuisance. The property itself is awesome. Clean, fun, good restaurants, great rooms - excellent. Shout outs to our butlers - Shelton, Wendell and Gregory, Shemicka from the Loyalty desk, Tamara who ma... Read more

Background for comparison: we have been to the royal bahamian, Grenada, and emerald bay. the food quality is second only to grenada. We didn't have a bad meal at any of the restaurants. Our favorite place was bayside. The apple desert was wonderful. The beach is long and wide open. The water is some of the calmest we have ever seen. The clarity of the water at the beach was poor and I could barely see my hand in front of my face when trying to see the bottom. Our main problem with the beach ... Read more

Don‚??t worry, the gift shop has it for the low, low price of $5 US for a little tube! -Speaking of the gift shop, the prices are generally reasonable, EXCEPT for sunscreen! My husband and I absolutlely loved this resort. The staff waits on you and takes care of everything that you could possibly need from the moment you arrive. The food is excellent, guest rooms are immaculate and the ground are well maintained. This was our first experience at a "couples only" resort and I honestly did not know that a vacation could be so peaceful. We have four children of our own and it was pure bliss to spend a week without guilt. Because no one had thier children with them ... Read more

We had an amazing time at this resort. It is now our favorite place. The room was very clean and service was fantastic. I am not sure the last time I literally just let go and relaxed as I did here. Could've been from the Reggae Tops as well! The island was beautiful and food was great. We will be back soon!

My husband and I were there with friends the week of August 15th. Arrival at airport fine except when we needed to get the sandals transfer. It was so unorganized. They kept moving our luggage and telling us to board the van. We were told to walk to one place and then to another without our luggage. Chaotic. On arrival at the resort, my friends' room was ready, but ours wasn't. Forget that we had booked way back in February. We went to lunch being unable to change or clean up after the plane r... We have visited many Sandals Resorts, and this was our fifth visit to this one in 20 years. The Resort overal is superb, well maintained , good amenities with good food and a great atmosphere . If you need something, they will make every attempt to get it for you. My husband needed adhesive tape for his medical procedure he had done before the trip. We did have an issue with our room not being available upon arrival but we were given a resort credit and a $$ reduction for a (1) night stay in a lesser room. Our only complaint is that our room was not ready in a timely manner the next day. If not for this matter we would have given the resort an excellent rating. Overall this Sandals property has everything you could wish for. Lots of restaurants, a lovely beach and some decent entertainment most evenings (albeit a bit too loud at times). Many age groups are here but mostly folks in the 28 to 50 year range. We had great weather and the green flag flew every day for beach and boating activities. I saw lots of paddle boarding and use of the hobie cats. However there were minor problems. I found the food lacking in flavor. It was good but not WOW. ... Read more

This review is long overdue, with that being said, absolutely AMAZING. We stayed at the Mediterranean side of the resort which proved the better choice since it was newer and much quieter than the Caribbean side which seemed to cater to a more party atmosphere. This Sandals Resort and Spa was spectacular. We traveled with 16 people to celebrate my husband's 60th Birthday. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Staff was friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The SPA was fantastic. Resort was not brand new but it was very comfortable. This is a very expensive resort, I was disappointed, maybe I expected more since it was so expensive, but I have stayed at other all inclusive resorts for a cheaper price and enjoyed it a lot more. This is a sad excuse for a hotel, my key card did not work and they asked if I went out from the balcony, my room was on the second floor.
