Just returned from a 2 week holiday. Lovely quiet location, with nice low rise accommodations. We had a garden view room (90) with a good view of the sea. We liked it didn't have air conditioning as you could hear the sea and wildlife at night, the ceiling fan was sufficient. Food was adequate, we didn't pay 5 star prices so we didn't expect 5 star food, everyday there was something different and all was very tasty. The only thing is their time keeping could be better, don't be in a rush to e... Read more

This review is unfortunately marred by an initial bad experience but overall we had a lovely peaceful stay in a magnificent setting with stunning beaches and sparkling blue seas. There are no noisy water sports, no televisions in the rooms and only wifi in the reception area. So you can escape the rest of the world for a time. The food is well prepared but limited in choice, with some days better than others. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially at reception who helped resolve our ... Read more

Just back from two weeks at hawksbill. Wonderful setting with four great beaches. Very quiet, no thumping music just the sound of the sea. Marvellous staff, all very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. John the manager was very efficient and tried his best to make the holiday memorable. There are some teething problems with some of the rooms but our room was fantastic. Yards from the beach with huge refurbished bathroom. Good air con which meant no mozzies. Palm beach room recommended. Fo... Read more

Spent the weekend at this resort last yr for our 5th wedding anniversary. Overall I must say, we had a wonderful time and my wife really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the royal palm suits on the beach, a newly renovated room with a hot tub. In all fairness I must say that I liked the room for the price. We have stayed at other hotels before with more modern suits but I think our room was very cozy. The food was really amazing, the restaurants are perfectly situated and creates a natur... Read more

Not sure if I should write this review because I want, very selfishly, to keep this a little bit of paradise and not a hotel with no soul We arrived on our 5th visit to Hawksbill and were met at reception by a very welcome glass of bubbly and a warm 'welcome back' from the staff. We had a fabulous holiday again. Lovely staff, David, Christolbell, Millie and others I can't remember their names. We had a sea front bungalow which was slightly up graded with air con, which we hardly used. Nic... Read more

Hawksbill occupies a wonderful site with a number of lovely beaches including the special and unspoilt Eden beach. It is such a shame therefore that the resort does not live up to its potential. The accommodation is tired and even the updated bits have their faults. The food is OK but very unimaginative and repetitive, particularly the lunches. There was a noticeable worsening of the food on the chef's day off. The staff are excellent and have been well trained and communicate well with the c... Read more

We spent 11 nights at Hawksbill in November, our 6th visit since 1997, returning to check out the changes made while the resort was temporarily closed for renovations during 2016. We stayed in a beach-side bungalow (with new bathroom) on Royal Palm beach for the first time. While these are nice, with spacious new bathrooms, we will return to either Sea Grape beach or Honeymoon Cove for our next visit since they both have better views and are closer to the beach level bar and restaurant. Have just returned from a 10 day break in January our second stay. The Good Hawkesbill trades on its location, quiet beaches and stunning views. Glass of bubbly on arrival was much appreciated Much improved gardens this year with areas of grass instead of mud. Smiley staff Superior beach front bungalows with new fridges and effective air con with comfy beds Shower was fine (we didnt have a shower for 2 days initially last year) Some meals with local produce where nice but it appeared a general ... Well lets start at the beginning,we stayed from the 13th to 27th January. On arrival we where offered a glass of bubbly filled in the forms and showed to our accomdation. The room was 68 and it was fine, the bathroom needed a bit of a upgrade but we had all the hot water we needed and the shower was fine. My initial thought was I would have preferred to have booked a bungalow on honeymoon cove however a few days later changed our minds and we preferred where we were (not so far to the beach or f... We stayed for 10 days in January 2017, and found the hotel very disappointing. We realise it was billed as a 3 star, but feel it didn't even live up to that billing. Accommodation - we were in a superior beachfront bungalow which certainly needed a very thorough clean to remove all the dirt on the edges of the floor and walls and also the windows. The air conditioning was very efficient but the bedding needs upgrading. Every time we had a shower the whole bathroom floor flooded because the... Read more
