Lovely location with sea views and green tropical gardens. Great food from all the restaurants and very good entertainment for all the family. The beaches are a short distance away from the rooms.and provide water sports and sun beds. The resort offers many sport facilities including a gym, Spa, Beach volley ball, mini. Golf, tennis. The rooms are spacious and have large bathroom, veranda and comfortable furnishing. I can highly recommend this resort for everyone and is set in a idyllic location... Read more

Spent a week early this month @ the Verandah Resort. Everything was perfect, even the food. We have gone to several all inclusive resorts & this was the best one. Accommodations in cottages were so nice & large. Also spent a week @ The St. James Club, a sister resort. Liked the Verandah so much better. Truly a restful & relaxing atmosphere.

Great holiday and wedding resort with excellent food, drinks and 1st class staff. The resort is very clean we great views over the calm Sea bay, we got married on Rasta Beach a beautiful setting and the wedding planner 'Andrea' was fantastic. All staff in the restaurants and bars were very good with special praise to 'D'Angelo' and Kerry Ann. The water sports was very good, beach clean with plenty of sun loungers and towels. The Villa are all of the same design, we upgraded to have Ocean view an... Read more

We absolutely loved our stay at The Verandah. The staff are amazing and so friendly. The room was huge the bath was massive. All rooms have some kind of sea view so I don't think a upgrade was worth it. We loved the main beach and used all of the water sports which where really fun. The beach bar was amazing for drinks and lunches (we didn't go there for dinner but you can) I used the gym which really needed some air con. It was basic but good enough for a quick work out. The food was unbelievab... Read more

The main lobby when you first enter is beautiful and sets "vacation mode." It's all outdoors but covered and there is a golf cart waiting to take you to your house/room. Checking in took us only 5 min (prefer visa or MasterCard even though it says they accept discover). When we were being driven to our room the escort explained where everything was on the way. Luckily we were right by the main pool which is within a 1-2 min walk to everything (beach, pool, main bar and restaurants). The rooms we... Read more

This was our 4th visit here, and things just keep getting better! Had a waterfront suite, fab view over the watersports beach. We had requested a rollaway bed and this had been duly supplied. Room lovely as always, food scrummy we ate in all the restaurants. Drinks were good, grounds immaculate, not too busy even though it was half term (UK) and there were lots of wedding parties. We enjoyed the 'new' beach bbq, this just needs tweeking a little as it was only the 4th time they had done it but w... Read more

It all starts with a real welcome including iced flannels, rum punch and then a golf buggy for you and your luggage to your suite. The property consists of villas scattered along a lovely stretch of coastline within two bays. It's probably a mile from one end, reception, to the other, the main beach and water sports area, but this doesn't matter as there are fleets of golf buggies cruising the resort and although we had determined to walk as much as possible to lessen the effects of the all incl... check in very quick and smooth cannot fault the room very spacious and the air con great ,the thing we found which let the verandah down was the food and both beaches ,the sea at the rasta beach just looked like a fishing lake with sea grass growing every were not very inviting to say your in the caribbean, the main beach was better but still had sea grass growing about 30 foot out.when in the caribbean we like to see clear blue water ,now to the food very cheap products in my opinion ate twice i... My husband and I just returned from a fine vacation here. The property has a basic mid range foundation but built upon it are some very nice high end surprises. The scenery is spectacular. The landscaping is lush. The food is well above average and the home grown produce very well prepared. The pastry chef makes outstanding baked goods for breakfast and a dizzying array of desserts. While the room furnishings are modest, the cathedral ceilings and glass doors to large balconies give a much large... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Verandah resort from May 28-June 4. We found the staff friendly and pleasant - we encountered great service from everyone we came across, from the shuttle drivers, servers, security etc etc. The rooms are spacious and comfortable although it was easy to hear outside and neighbor noise. The room is equipped with a kitchenette, kettle, microwave, fridge and sitting area. We had a waterfront room and it had a great view of the bay from the balcony. Housekeeping di... Read more

My husband and I stayed at the Verandah for our 15th wedding anniversary. This was our first time doing an all inclusive. I did a lot of research prior to booking, not only in Antigua, but looking at other all inclusive options. For my husband and I, we wanted a resort with accommodations that were a little different than a hotel, but still many of your larger hotel offerings. The Verandah had that for us! Each "villa" only shares a common wall with the suite next door, each having their ow... Read more

I had read through all the reviews on the Verandah (as you do before you travel somewhere new) and having stayed here for 11 days I wanted to share how much we enjoyed our stay here. I think the best way to sum up our trip is to tell you my friend and I ended up playing an on-going mini-golf match throughout our stay with one friendly member of the staff....who turned out to be the General Manager of the resort - Leonard. !!! He was great fun, very friendly and would always be on site checking e... Read more

My husband and I have just returned from our 6th consecutive visit to the Verandah. This resort had everything we wanted in a holiday the first time we visited and has continued to meet our expectations every year since. The Verandahs grounds are well maintained, and facilities are continually being upgraded, we look forward every year to see what's new at the Verandah. This hotel sits in beautiful grounds with the bungalow rooms well placed for good views from their balconies. The rooms ... Read more

The Verandah is a very unique all inclusive resort... As it is not quite all-inclusive or have the necessary amenities to make it an all inclusive. Let's first get the negatives out of the way: The rooms need touching up as far as the accommodations are concerned. The beds are hard as a rock, bathroom area was not sanitary when we arrived. Hair on the walls in the shower and Bobby pins laying around. The room comes with a fridge, however it is not stocked with anything... I can understand m... Read more

I'm sure almost all of the reviews you've already read about this resort said the same thing I'm about to say. GREAT location, GREAT property and pool, pretty great food for an all inclusive, but the staff are not friendly. We're not sure if it's just their culture or if they don't like their jobs, but very few staff we encountered on our nine day family vacation, were very friendly.
