"The grounds, beach and pools are nice but we were very disappointed with the rooms. The rooms are SMALL. Although they were clean there was barely enough room to move around. We had to pay extra for the safe and there was no refrigerator. This is the first place we've stayed at where this was the case. The food was good and the staff is friendly."

"Fabulous....beach is amazing, the color of the water is turqoise green/blue. Resort on the whole I would give a 85. Some things lacked: reception area, main bar, no beach service, rooms a bit small. The staff was amazing and the specialty restaurants are a must. Italian, Indian and seafood, you can also book two restaurants at a time for the entire stay!!! Court yard is lovely in the evening. Sunsets are amazing, beach is white coral shells and I mean seashells every where, every where! One mile of beautiful beautiful beach, swimming was amazing, very hot however, very hot, minimum of a 15SPF. Beach vendors great, if they become anoying simply tell them. Top shelve alcohol with small cost attached, Baily's, Grey Goose, etc. All in all a lot of bang for your buck. Recommend the catamaran tour of the island, fun day of snorkeling...."

"standard rooms not big enough. too many beach vendors constantly bugging you for massage/ aloe rubs/ tours. staff very friendly/ helpful. 2 bars. not enough. buffet was repetitive. boccoli rest. was the best! others ok. beach was fabulous. entertainment ok. NEVER rent from area car rental. VERY rude. something happend with our tires, didn't even offer us another car. then wanted 1500.00 US to replace tires!!!Overall... We would go again, but would never give our business to the car rental company. "

"On arrival, we had to switch rooms due to nats or some small bug in the bathroom. As quick as I killed them, they re-appeared. I didn't think housekeeping was sufficient. On a daily basis, I had to request a hand towel and face cloth. On each day we were left with two bath towels, when I requested towels from housekeeping she would argue with me and wouldn't give me any! My husband hurt his back and wasn't able to make it to the buffet several days and I was told, I could bring him whatever would fit in the napkin. UNEXCEPTABLE! I had made reservations at the Italian restaurant on site and because my husband didn't wear long pants we were asked to leave. Long pants maybe a requirement but long shorts, a shirt with a coller and shoes should have been accepted, especially when there were women with very short, tight dresses which were inappropriate! (We did not bring long pants with us on vacation!)"

"my first impression of the resort was it was a older resort witch it is. every thing is very clean and well matained. my wife wished the bathroom was up to date, water was hot with strong flow.a[c in room very good . could'nt adjust ceiling fan king size bed was a little lumpy. room was very clean food was good in buffet but the special resturants were not up to parr. the beach was nice with alot of friendly characters on it to name a few samie ,sally cloud, larance ira,rocky,ray the taxi driver. will miss them. hope to go back one day. "

"I was very disappointed in the room that was booked, 'NOT ANYTHING' like what was published on the web-site. The pictures on the web must have been from years earlier, as the room and furnishings were very out dated. The 2nd night our toilet stopped working and had to walk all the away across the property to use the public restrooms. The 3rd day we had no TV service for approx. 12 hours. Swim-up bar wasn't open due to being so out dated. The grounds were very well maintained and the staff for the most part were very helpful & kind. It's the only Hotel/Resort that I've ever been to that I had the pay additional money to use the room safe......."

"Look, bottom like the beach is amazing. The food is mostly terrbile however I was able to find something at each meal that was tolerable. The pools are OK, there is one with music and one that is quiet. I cheaped out this vacation and went with the budget stay at Jolly beach. Prob wouldnt do it again, but again the beach is amazing and thats what I went for this trip. Theres a beautiful landscape all around with small mountains. The guys on the beach are annoying, they asked me at least twice a day if I wanted to rent a jet ski (lesson learned: dont tell them youre thinking about it or maybe later because they will hound you. Just tell them flat out, NO...unless you want to of course). Many people we talked to did the catamaran sailboat circumnavigation and raved about it. To reiterate, the beach is wonderful; the room and drinks are ok, the food sucks. Budget vacation on a gorgeous beach with no frills is what you have here, you decide about going."

"We were disappointed. When we arrived the resort was much smaller than it appeared online, we were on the top (4th) floor and there are no elevators. The screen in the bathroom allowed the A/C out so the room was 'warm' and very small. The beds were very hard but we find that in all of the all inclusives. There were only 2 bars and service was horrible. The wait staff acted as if we were bothering them. The swim up bar was ridiculous they didn't even want to come down the stairs. In the morning the waitress would seat us and ask if we wanted to coffee or tea and we would say but they would NEVER bring it. The ocean was fabulous, beautiful, amazing. The beach is FULL of shells which was good for picking up but when you walked barefoot broken pieces cut our feet. The resort was clean, the showers were nice, hot water was abundant, and pressure was very good. No in room fridge or bar, lots of things were out of order at the restaraunt, soda machines had no diet available, etc. Food was OK, selection was OK, we kept hearing how the Black Pineapple of Antigua was the sweetest in the world from all the taxi driver's yet ours at breakfast was SO tart you could barely eat it. Things were clean but appeared old, worn, rough!!! We enjoyed the weather, the water, and our vacation. We won't go back nor will we recommend it to others. We felt we didn't get our money's worth."

"The resort was basically empty the first week of Oct. We could be swimming in the ocean and see no one on the beach. Very nice. Jolly beach is the most beautiful beach on the island. We had wonderful service everywhere we went, the only bad part of low season was not all the amenities were available everyday, we just change our schedules to get the spa treatment on the days it was open. The restaurants changed everyday, so you really did not have a choice but we always could get a reservation. Breakfast was buffet and the omelets were wonderful, had one everyday.. The only bad thing was the beds. we all ended up with sore backs. Also exchanged our American money for their currency and really did not have to, most would rather get American currency. Never wanted to leave, LOVE it.."
