Just spent 2 great weeks in this idyllic resort. The hotel is rustic and our room was kept clean, we were kept supplied with clean towels and shampoo. The beach is great and plenty of loungers and shade make it easy to spend all day there. The staff , no matter what their role in hotel are absolutely fantastic nothing too much trouble and always have a smile for you. The manager is very hands on and is obviously very popular with his staff. If you are looking for an extremely laid back relaxing ... Read more

First off at this price point. I do not expect the Ritz. I do expect what I got which was amazing service from the bartender, to the GM whom sorted of tries to blend in, to the weird evening entertainment that better after a loads of rum. The kidney shaped pool that is so 1970's and the bizarre slightly stale tea sandwiches that we still ate.. The breakfast was the bomb! Omelets bar, fresh fruit, good coffee. Lunch, it is fine, grilled fish, burgers... Dinner was OK but again what you are... Read more

Reception staff need to learn some customer service skills. They are miserable and never smiling or welcoming. It would appear that everything is too much effort. We booked a standard room which is sub-standard at best. The room smelt and was musty, the safe did not work, and the sink was blocked. The towels and bedding were so old and off white they were almost grey. The valance on the bed was stained and filthy. The water coming out of the tap was a dirty brown colour and then stopped alt... We have just returned from three weeks at the Halcyon Cove by Rex and had a wonderful time. As has been stated, the hotel is in need of modernisation and the new General Manager Mr Thiart is doing just that. There is an ongoing programme updating the rooms, gardens and restaurants but Rome wasn‚??t built in a day, so give the man a chance. The staff are wonderful, and each and every one should be congratulated on doing a sterling job. There are too many to name specifically, but a special mentio... Read more

My husband and I returned just over a week ago from a 2 week all inclusive stay at the Halcyon Cover resort where we were on our honeymoon . The resort is on the beautiful Dickenson Bay with its beautiful turquoise water and white sandy beach which is like being in paradise. We cannot fault the service we received at the hotel the staff were really friendly and helpful in particular a mention to Dwayne on the tour desk who helped book us on some fantastic tours of Antigua. There are many... Read more

I think I gained 10 lbs. LOL We enjoyed going to the different locations to eat: the pier, beach bar and the upper terrace, a great big thank you to Anne Marie !! We checked it to Halcyon Cove and we were a bit disappointed with our room. It was a garden room, I am guessing what is classed as a standard room. We was hoping for a pool view room so I asked at reception and they moved us to room 336 which had a view of the pool and beach and we couldn‚??t be happier. The beach has to be seen to be believed, by far the best beach we have ever been to. The sand is pure white and the sea crystal clear. We walked the beach every morning up to Coconut Grove and ... Ive been to this resort twice now with my family as its my parents favourite and weve always had amazing memories here! the last time we went we made amazing friends and had a brilliant time. The warry peer is lovely and so is coconut grove just down the beach. The only problems i had were cocroaches in the room alot (but im sure that was just my room?) and there is a mardy bar man at the beach bar. But other than that the staff are amazing people and a lot of fun!

Have just come back from a 14 night stay at this resort and had a fantastic holiday. We did have a problem with our original room but this was quickly rectified and we were given a new room within 15 hours. The hotel itself is a little tired looking in areas but it is all very clean and the staff are great just to mention a few Austin, Fenton, Errol , the lovely Margaret in the restaurant and Devon who who made our last night perfect. There was entertainment every night with the exception of S... Read more

Just came back from this wonderful hotel. The beach is gorgeous, the food is good, the staff were amazing. Because of the time of year, not everything was open all the time. Entertainment was fun! I would definitely recommend this hotel and we will be returning.

Wish I was still there! From start to finish we had a wonderful trip! We were met at the airport by Rogers from Bo Tours and taxied out to the resort right away. After we checked in we just kept right on going and walked into a beautiful turquoise Caribbean Sea.We then went back to check out our room..spotless and looked freshly painted. Down duvets on the beds, air conditioning running! balcony overlooking the pool and the sea. Provided with giant beach towels every day of our stay. Loved... Read more

I have to say was thoroughly satisfied with my overnight stay at this family&friends resort! I was greeted by the most friendliest and informative staff!! the lobby was very clean and had a warm Caribbean feel to it making my arrival for my vacation nice and relaxed. I enjoyed a beautiful one bedroom which had island flowers on my bed that set the tone for that Island Caribbean feeling. The room was extra clean and well stocked toiletries. water pressure from the rainfall shower left me feelin... Read more

Just returned from one week at Halcyon and wished we could have stayed longer!! Beach - beautiful white sand with some small rocks that were easy to walkover. Loved the end of beach location as we always felt really private. Off season meant less than 30 people on the beach at all times, half the day we were the only ones in the water!! This beach was really lovely and quiet with the perfect Caribbean blue water. Food - surprisingly very good. This was the only time at an all inclusive that I... Read more

Stayed here due to Caribbean Airlines making me miss a connecting flight but I am glad they messed up. Relaxing gardens. Beach was nice and clean and the water was so calm you could just float in it. The water was so clear you could see the fish swimming around you. Nice restaurant with sea under you. Staff were friendly and rooms comfortable
