Summary:
The Destination Experience Associate Account Manager, reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing - Destination Experience. The core responsibility of the AM is to grow the existing set of accounts within their assigned portfolio, under the guidance of their Senior Regional Account Manager. Growth will be achieved by fostering deep relationships with these existing DE accounts. The Destination Experience Account Management Team will have a shared staff for the coordination and day-to-day administration around each client, allowing the AM to focus solely on strategic initiatives that drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
To source compelling offers which provide our customers with a reason to buy on-line and in advance of their travels.
Evaluate & maintain favorable contracting terms with existing partners to offer activities, tours, entertainment, transfers and the like to the Destination Experience guests.
To assume Destination Experience store ownership of all markets within their assigned regions, making adjustments to the presentation and sort order that impact the user experience and revenue objectives.
To drive incremental revenues by securing value-ad offers and promotions from the existing partner portfolio.
To ensure Destination Experience always has competitive pricing, aggressive merchandising opportunities and appropriate product placement in each market within the assigned region.
To analyze performance of all products, working closely to continue growth for higher selling products and analyzing underperforming products.
To monitor competitive sites in the OTA space to ensure that our product line, inventory and pricing are competitive and rates are at parity or better.
To negotiate aggressive margins in return for production, merchandising, marketing and increased exposure.
To meet and exceed revenue goals for region.
To ensure that all content on Destination Experience is thorough, up-to-date and speaks to the questions a Destination Experience guest would ask before purchasing.
Work closely with BookIt.com Market Management staff to assist in securing lower rates, margins or special offers to be used in conjunction with lodging or packaged promotions, while still assuring revenue share is appropriate for both companies.
Work with local tourism and convention and visitors bureau to secure cooperative marketing funds when available.
